Second summer complete!

Thank you Jesus for the changed hearts and lives from this summer. Thank you for the joy, laughter, hardships, and growth!

Now onto year 2 of the academy!

thank you Lord for joy-filled friendships and laughter

thank you Lord for conquering fears, for high ropes, for living the adventure

thank you Lord for shaving cream fights, for lake time, for my Cecilia

thank you Lord for true sisterhood, for my wonderful community, for princess days

thank you Lord for adoration nights, for ministering to your children, for encountering you in the Eucharist

thank you Lord for the program staff and the pure joy they brought to my heart, for Ray and her heart of gold

thank you Lord for my service week and for giving me Bianca, for her friendship

thank you Lord for my leads and all the ways they supported and loved me this summer

thank you Lord for my small group, for the laughter and tears, for my new family

thank you Lord for Sy’monique, for her selfless heart, for her outpouring love and her friendship

thank you Lord for my kitchen and service week, for Belen and her pure joy and gift of self, for Chloe and all her energy and love she pours out

thank you Lord for Tati and Esme, for playing at giant swing with them, for their pure joy and childlike faith

thank you Lord for my incredible counseling staff, for always clumping to fill waters, for my great community and the people I call family

thank you Lord for week 9, for my wonderful travel group, and for all the ways I encountered you

thank you Lord for director dad Zach, for all the ways he loved our staff, for all the joy he brought, thank you for Jackie and her pure joy-filled spirit

thank you Lord for counselor checks, for goofing off on the log, and for prayer

thank you Lord for nights like these where I get to live endlessly in your love

thank you Lord for all the ways you painted the sky this summer with your love

and thank you Lord for mission. thank you for the days where it was hard, the days where I never wanted to leave, the days I felt you, the days I didn’t. thank you for all the ways you reached me and worked through me this summer 🩷

Dear God, as I step into 2026 thank You for getting me through everything so far. Please guide my choices, give me strength when things get hard, and help me stay kind, grateful, and true to who You want me to be. Watch over the people I love, and help me trust You with my future. Amen. 🤍

a love note to the sweetest of summers: dear summer,
you have taught me how to pour out and also how to be poured into. you have taught me what true love for the Lord is. you have taught me that the Lord will meet me in my mess and in my imperfections, He is perfect. you have taught me that sweet friendships refresh the soul. you have taught me that mission does not end here. you have taught me that Jesus and Jesus alone brings me true peace and freedom.

Thank you Jesus for mission.

This summer has been the most incredible time as I continued to learn how to give of myself for the glory of God. Falling in love with Jesus more and more each day and bringing children to that love was an honor! Praise God for all the highs and lows this summer and for putting me here on this mission with the best people I could ever ask for!! Damascus will forever be my second home💕
