Sometimes you just have to cancel your plans to go to another Pride Event in June when it feels like a beach day is in order instead. And contrary to what my dad always said growing up (happy Father’s Day @jimbholmes!) sometimes it DOES rain at the beach, and then you get to see a real 🌈. And the rain passes and it turns into the most glorious evening to spend with your ❤️ at @craneestate_trustees #CraneBeach.

Calendar says May… my layers say otherwise!!

Day 14 of 30 in my @wool.and #30DayDressChallenge2026 required cozy pieces after a super long and exhausting week. Seemed like a good opportunity to pair my Ocean Teal #WoolAndDrewDress with my OG Ocean Teal #WoolAndSummitLeggings - purchased back when I had just started my 100 Day Challenge in 2023. I usually reserve them for “House Clothes” these days because they are so comfy and cozy. Often with this Oatmeal colored #WoolAndScoutTunic - one of the squishiest things one can wear.

Also wearing my newest @creeperssocks with @lemsshoes hiking shoes, my Old Navy Jean Jacket, and as needed, my @minus33merinowool hat and gloves!!

Last (real) day of vacation = the best day? Weather day at least! So gorgeous. Perfect temps and low humidity with a breeze made for some stiff paddling but worth it for the beautiful air!

Busy last day of July! We managed to fit a lot into a cool, rainy day at the lake. Puttered in the kitchen in the AM, out to “Town” (aka Bridgton) in the PM to visit the @rufusportermuseum for the first time (how??), get ice cream, peruse Reny’s, back to Naples for caffeine and a quick stop at the Library Book Sale, and then back to a beautifully glassy @trickeypond btw rain drops for paddling and a quick swim. Saw one set of loons doing their fishing patrol.

Finally made it to Maine! There’s no place like Trickey Pond - I have never encountered better water. What a relief to be back in my happy place!

Day 28 of 30 was busy, busy! Spent the morning at work, took the train home in time to enjoy lunch at our Watertown @revivalcafeandkitchen with my fave photographer 📸 @chloemholmes79 before doing approximately one million errands and chores (including moving quite heavy furniture and the ensuing lots of dusting and vacuuming) the rest of the day. All in @wool.and #WoolAndCamelliaDress in Pomegranate. Please send her good wishes. She got hit with a dose of body lotion in the fuss earlier, so she’s had a bath and we’re keeping our 🤞 for a full recovery from today… #30DayChallengeDress - only two days to go!!

What a day 8 of 30 was! @wool.and #WoolAndCamelliaDress and #WoolAndRoamShorts kept me cool and comfy at both @kitteryblockparty AND @outright_pride #PortsmouthPride, including walking back and forth across the bridge!

Always a highlight of June to catch up with Cousin Sass at Pride - glad we got to introduce her to the Kittery Block Party too this year!

A visit to the Seacoast isn’t really complete without a stop at the beach so we brought our salads to Wallis Sands before sneaking a trip to @lagosicecream right before closing.

Also want to shout out @strawberybankemuseum for continuing to host Pride. We see you and we appreciate your support!

And we enjoyed exploring the new-to-us @reedmor_books with @sarahhwillis81! Highly recommend the strawberry mocktail if you find yourself in Portsmouth! Also had a fab selection of cards and tees… 🥰

Wearing:
#CamelliaDress in Pomegranate - day 8 of 30 in my 2025 #30DayDressChallenge
@lemsshoes white Kourts (with 🌈 laces added by me in the car!)
@megemikoart tee - which I got many compliments on! Available on Etsy!

Feeling lucky to have spent Juneteenth with my favorite photographer, visiting not one but TWO historic houses, run by two different but both wonderful local orgs, right across the street from each other in Concord. We’d seen both before from the outside but never the interiors!

Caught the celebration @robbinshouse in time to get a personal tour from ED Jen Turner, and then caught the last tour of the day at @theoldmanse_trustees before revisiting the North Bridge and beyond.

Wearing an extra layer over @wool.and #woolandcamellia on a very warm Day 6 of 30 was a choice, but it felt appropriate for the holiday and I don’t regret it!

#WoolAndRoamShorts and @branwynofficial layers are keeping me comfy out of sight!

Posing with our miraculously overwintered container strawberry plants in my @snagtights strawberry tights 🍓 for day 3 of 30 in @wool.and #CamelliaDress. You can’t see them, but there are at least 6 more baby strawberries currently growing in that red container!

Our three tomatoes are making blossoms like crazy (especially the yellow Tumbling Tom pictured later) and last night we discovered blossoms on @chloemholmes79’s zucchini plants! (Our first time growing them, definitely an experiment!)

Nice to get home in the daylight and be able to see them all w/out having to use my phone flashlight! 🤣

Wearing:
Pomegranate Camellia for the #30DayDressChallenge
Black #WoolAndCara t-shirt
Old Jean Jacket b/c evening
Strawberry tights from @snagtights
Black Kourts from @lemsshoes

What a whirlwind trip to Northampton @chloemholmes79 & I enjoyed this past week! Made the trek to see the incomparable @jennyowenyoungs play at the reopened @ironhorsenoho - such a fun show of course! And then with very loose plans - just making our way to the @carlemuseum on the way home we ran into @adam.h.f.holmes & @cfholmes53 on Main St in NoHo! After buying a stack of used CDs at Turn It Up we made our way to find food & discovered @khughesdesign & @jdowner416 were also in town with the twins - and then we bumped into them in Thornes - tho we failed to document it! Finally we did make it to the Carle in time to enjoy the exhibits AND make some art before heading home! Whew!
