“di solito lavoro così: ombre nette, taglio secco. è il mio modo di dire la verità su chi ho davanti.

quella volta no. ho scelto una luce più morbida, più casalinga, quasi da salotto, più cinematografica. non per addolcire niente, ma per entrare più a fondo.

il risultato è questo. scatti di emozioni vere, non di gente in posa. Negli occhi si legge la fiducia di chi si spoglia davanti all’osservatore, non del corpo, ma di tutto il resto.

Auguro a tutti di provare questa sensazione almeno una volta nella vita.”

“HARSH LIGHT KEEPS ITS DISTANCE. THIS TIME I DIDN’T WANT ANY.”

“That’s usually how I work: hard shadows, a clean cut. It’s my way of telling the truth about who’s in front of me.
Not that time. I chose a softer light, more domestic, almost like a living room, more cinematic. Not to soften anything, but to get closer.

This is the result. Shots of real emotion, not people posing. In their eyes you can read the trust of someone undressing in front of the observer, not their body, but everything else.

I wish everyone could feel this at least once in their life.”

SOME PEOPLE JUST NEED THE RIGHT SPACE TO BE SEEN.

A few faces and fragments from Hangry Kidz’ Queer Open Studio Day in Rome.

For this first chapter, photographer @cio_giorgia chose black & white.

An intentional contrast with Pride and all the colors usually surrounding it.

Because underneath the colors, the noise, the celebration and the movement, there was something quieter happening that day: intimacy.

Black & white became a way to remove everything unnecessary and leave space for what mattered: faces, gestures, vulnerability, presence.

That’s also what IT’S MY TIME TO BE SEEN means to Hangry Kidz.

Being seen without having to perform.
Without having to become louder.
Without having to be anything other than yourself.

Different people. Different stories. Same right to take up space.

This is Chapter 01.

Yesterday was more than an open studio.

It was a room full of courage, softness, laughter, vulnerability, and connection.

To every woman who walked through that door, thank you ❤️

Thank you for showing up.
Thank you for trusting the process.
Thank you for allowing yourselves to be seen.

You didn’t come as models.
You came as yourselves and that was the most powerful thing of all.

What happened in that studio was not just about photos.

It was about presence.
About community.
About seeing ourselves and each other, with new eyes.

This was only the beginning. ✨
