WEEKEND BITES in and near the HOLLYWOOD DISTRICT #portlandoregon

Photos 1 thru 8 are from @stacey_gib and @joeytgibson (photo 4 along with @winewithjustin and Maddy) @parallelfoodanddrink - my go-to dish there is the hush puppies with uni honey butter (photo 2) and housemade kasekrainer sausage with spatzle and apples #parallelfoodanddrink

And on Friday I stopped by @chochu_local @_rosecityfoodpark_ (photo 10) for chicken and pork belly fiesta plate (photo 9) - it can easily feed 2 people or one person with a huge appetite!

We’re just one week away from #PISACON24 !! We can’t wait to be in community with you all next week! While we wait, we wanted to highlight and share our vendors for this year conference! 🤙🏽

So glad @chochu_local is back, I've been missing my Island BBQ!

They were out of ribs (boohoo) so I went with pork belly in addition to the chicken.

~ Hostel Guest Stories~ Maya’s Portland Stay! ✨

Meet Maya @lilmissmayaa, a traveler and creator! She stayed with us while visiting Portland for her research on nature therapy’s correlation to wellness and healing—the perfect place for that! 🌲💛 Some of her highlights? Exploring waterfalls, enjoying the @portland_oldtime_gathering at the hostel, and trying all of Portland’s amazing cuisine 😋!

One special moment she shared— baking a cake in our community kitchen and singing happy birthday with people she just met 🎂 (We love stories like this because they show how hostels bring strangers together!)

Her favorite thing about the hostels? “Getting to know people from all around the world. We all have a story to tell, and we get to share these Portland experiences with one another.” 🌃🌎

Swipe to see Maya’s creative collages from her trip! ➡️ 📸 Follow her adventures on Instagram & her Beacons link!
