What does it take to create a school environment where students feel safe to speak up, ask questions and make mistakes without fear of judgement?

At the T360 Educators Conclave Indore 2026, Panel 2 brought together Ms Abhilasha Purushothaman, Ms Kanishka Vats, Ms Anshu Chopra, Dr Rashmi Joshi and Mr Divyansh Gupta to explore the role of educators, peers and school culture in building psychological safety.

𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀

▪️ Teachers build trust by listening, respecting different viewpoints and responding to mistakes constructively.
▪️ Psychological safety extends beyond teachers. Peer relationships play a vital role in helping students feel accepted and included.
▪️ Disagreement should not be mistaken for disobedience. Respectful communication and high expectations can coexist.
▪️ Students learn with greater confidence when they can ask questions, express themselves and make mistakes without fear of humiliation.

Psychological safety is not created through policies alone. It grows through everyday interactions that make people feel heard, respected and valued.

Are our schools creating spaces where students simply follow expectations, or where they feel safe enough to question, express and grow?

Our heartfelt thanks to Choithram International, our Community Partner at PULSE 2026, for contributing to a richer conversation around K–12 learning spaces.

A special appreciation to the students for their incredible performances and thoughtful voices, and to Richa Chaturvedi, Head of School, Choithram International (@richachaturvedi.empowher ), for moderating the student panel and making space for learners to answer the questions designers and educators had explored.

Because better learning spaces begin by listening to the people who learn in them.

The conversation doesn’t end with PULSE. Let’s keep listening, questioning and reimagining learning together.

Gratitude to @_rohit_jainn and team @youvah_official for the gracious felicitation.

The T360 Educators Conclave Indore 2026 brought together educators, school leaders and mental health professionals for a day of dialogue, reflection and practical perspectives on “Mental Health in Schools – From Growing Concern to Meaningful Action.”

Held as part of Prabodh and hosted by Choithram School, the conclave explored how schools can make mental well-being an integral part of everyday educational practice.

The day featured thought-provoking sessions and discussions, including:

🔹 Mr G. Balasubramanian — Keynote Address on understanding the changing needs of learners beyond academic performance.

🔹 Mr Rohan Pande — Thinking Errors – Rewiring the Inner Dialogue, exploring how thought patterns influence emotions and behaviour.

🔹 Panel Discussion 1: Reimagining Mental Health Policy, Practice & Support in Schools
With Dr Rashpal Singh Bhomrah, Dr Avinash P. Shrivastava, Ms Chitralekha Kulkarni and Ms Kanchan Tare, moderated by Dr Pariniti Singh.

🔹 Panel Discussion 2: Creating a Psychologically Safe Environment in the Organisation
With Ms Anshu Chopra, Dr Rashmi Joshi and student representatives Ms Kanishka Vats and Mr Divyansh Gupta, moderated by Ms Abhilasha Purushothaman.

🔹 Ms Yogita Pande — SEL Practices for the Classroom – Bringing Emotional Intelligence to Life, examining how social-emotional learning can become part of everyday classroom experiences.

🔹 Ms Jayashree Krishna — Effective Management of Life Skills in Social Dynamics, highlighting the role of life skills in navigating relationships and social situations.

Across the sessions, one central insight emerged: mental well-being cannot be built through policies and isolated interventions alone. It takes shape through everyday experiences, when students feel safe to make mistakes, teachers feel supported, leaders listen, and asking for help is encouraged.

Our appreciation to Mr Rajesh Awasthi, Director, Choithram Schools for hosting the conclave.

What does a mentally healthy school look like?

It goes beyond counselling and responding to concerns. Mental health is shaped every day through relationships, classroom experiences, academic expectations, school culture and a child’s sense of belonging.

The T360 Educators Conclave – Indore 2026 brings educators and school leaders together to explore how schools can move from awareness to meaningful, practical action for student and educator wellbeing.

A day of learning, shared perspectives and conversations that can help shape healthier school communities.
