First tournament of the 2026-2027 @illinoisbassnationyouth trail is a lock. Cal Sag is one of my favorites to fish but rain three days prior definitely made this one a challenge. We adjusted our strategy to account for changing conditions and ended up doing pretty well. Finished 4th of 23 high school teams. Missed top 3 by .07 pounds. Bummer but it’s all good… Nate and I are definitely just getting warmed up! Shoutout out to @chompersbaits for coming in clutch again.

Incredibly blessed to say that I was able to take home the 1st place win from the TBF National Semi-Finals Tournament on Lake Minnetonka. I had a two day total of 31.08 lbs, with 12.80 lbs on the first day, and a 18.28 sack on the second day to leapfrog to first. Had a blast this week catching a bunch of fish and competing against some really good sticks from the Minneapolis area and Wisconsin. Not bad for my first time being on this body of water! Now, this qualifies me to the TBF National Championship while representing Wisconsin!

Alright y'all, a bunch of you guessed on Friday and Yesterday what bait this fish was caught on. I got told it was old school and nobody hardly hears about them anymore! It was a Hula Grub! The one I was using is made by Chompers. Definitely an Ozark area favorite and a fish catching bait when the bite gets tough.
