There are women that that get me inspired and this woman is three of them😂 (its not a typographic error). As a writer, she inspires me. As an 'accidental' entrepreneur, she motivates me (she is a born entrepreneur, though) and a lovey-dovey person, she makes me love with God in view. I met her on IG and being following her daily bare-it-all Super Stories.

Reposted from @temitope_olagbegi - My father had asked me once I was done with school where I wanted to apply to for work .
And I know my answer sounded foolish. " I would like to decorate peoples spaces daddy . I want to go into their homes to re arrange and beautify it" .
In year 2000 , I know I sounded unambitious and disappointing and I could see it in his eyes. How can a child I love so much settle for mediocrity.
I couldnt have gone through all my bizs experiences for norhing . There was a feeling within me, when you know , that you know, even when you cant aticulate yourself , that there is more to this .

I will use the foolish things of this world , to confound the wisdom of this world, says the Lord God Almighty .

I did not know how to convey my passion to my father . However the look I saw in his eyes made me resolve ;
1. I just couldnt fail . Even I was not fully convinced I waa on the right track but something in me , simply refused to accept paid employment as an option . This was in the days were entrepreneurship was for those who couldnt get work .
2. I saw the questions and concerns of a loved one as a blessing . The more my dad prodded me, the more I finetunded my STRATEGY. The strategy ? To retail my cushions . However, a sale was only meaningful if I could deliver to their home .
And that is how it happened ! people picked cushions simply because they were pretty not because they were relevant to their decor .I would go to the home of whoever bought my cushions to rearrange the sofas , dress their existing curtains well , sometimes ( in fact most times ) I will sweep the space and then finally arrange the appropriate throw cushions on their sofas .
