🐟🌿 Hmong Steamed Catfish (Ntses Ncu), also known as Mok Pa in Lao!

One of our favorite ways to enjoy fish! ❤️

Tender catfish seasoned with aromatic herbs like fresh dill, cilantro, lemongrass, and Thai chili peppers, then wrapped in banana leaves and steamed to perfection. Served with a side of sticky rice, of course!

Every bite is packed with fragrant herbs, a little heat, and so much flavor. Simple ingredients coming together to create something so comforting and delicious.

Food like this is meant to be enjoyed with your hands, a little sticky rice, and lots of love. ❤️

Wrap dinner was already a few weeks ago and still thinking of the Cookbook Magic that was made….and also that was the biggest lazy susan of food I’ve ever sat in front of. 😏
 Thank you Ann for bringing us together for this epic collaboration. It was a whirlwind and I loved being part of every single dish! Every shot was more gorgeous than the last and every day I learned something new about Laos food (and even a few new fun words). You are fearless and we were all happy to follow you into this book. Can’t wait (I know I have to) to see it in print! (Yes I re-used my comment on your post because I am my own ChatGPT).

The duo will travel the state exploring the people, cultures, traditions, and stories shaping Minnesota's food scene when the show returns in spring 2027.⁠

A new chapter of Relish is coming. 🍽️✨

We’re excited to welcome Karyn Tomlinson and Tiffany Alexandria as the new co-hosts of Relish Season 7, marking the first time the series will feature two hosts.

Karyn, chef and owner of Myriel in St. Paul, brings a deeply Minnesotan perspective shaped by local ingredients, French technique, and the food traditions of her upbringing. Tiffany, the Rochester-based food storyteller, connects cultures and communities through the celebration of local food.

Together, they’ll travel Minnesota exploring the people, places, traditions, and unexpected food stories that make our state’s culinary culture so distinctive.

Relish Season 7 premieres on Minnesota PBS in Spring 2027. Stay tuned for more!

Once a year it all comes together - a celebration of the best tasty foods and beverages of the region, an event for families, friends and foodies alike.

The 12th annual FEAST! Local Food Marketplace gathers this year on Nov. 7 in Rochester, Minn at the Mayo Civic Center.

FEAST! is a celebration of local agriculture and local food in Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Iowa. It helps new businesses become known and established food and beverage businesses flourish. FEAST! allows the public to taste hundreds of items originating from the tri-state area while connecting them with the folks who grow and produce the products.

The FEAST! Local Food Marketplace was launched in 2014, the first of its kind in the region.

The festival features cooking demos from top regional chefs, a kids’ activity area, real live carrot and pea mascots, live music, and craft alcohol sampling for those who purchase a wristband ticket.

FEAST! Marketplace will include tonics, spice blends, cereals, jams, oils & vinegars, cheese, meats, craft alcohol and, well, so much more! See the updated list at local-feast.org/directory.

This year’s marketplace will be on Saturday, Nov. 7 from 10 am to 4 pm. It is open to the public. All are welcome!

Festival attendees have the opportunity to vote for the Peoples’ Choice award. Past winners have included K-Mama Sauce (a Korean-inspired product), Mama Stoen’s (gluten free), and Millner Heritage (winery and cidery), The Bee Shed (specialty honey), CannonBelles Cheese, Panache (infused juices), Sailor Mercy (elderberries), Madame Chu (Southeast Asian condiments) and Bernie’s Bloody Mary Mix.

Adult General Admission tickets are $10 in advance and $12 at the door. Admission for children 12 or under is FREE. Craft alcohol sampling requires a wristband ticket for $35 ($30 in advance).

The FEAST! Local Foods Network is a partnership of many organizations, businesses, and individuals committed to growing a sustainable regional food system which encourages innovation. Principal contributors are the Premier Partners: Renewing the Countryside, Southern Minnesota Initiative Foundation, Minnesota Department of Agriculture, and Compeer Financial.
