$10 Steak Plates 🥩 - Where else can you get steak, rice, fries, and vegetables 🥕 for $10?

Basil Steak 🌱, Chop Steak 🫑, Curry Steak 🌶️, Sesame Steak, and Classic Steak 🧅…all served with white rice 🍚, veggies 🥦, and premium fries 🍟.

The premium meat used is kept in a cold cooler until cooked. The meat is cooked upon ordering, the rice is in a hot pot, sauce on the top or on the side. They’ll cook it how you like it medium, well, etc.

I absolutely love how they ask you if you want spicy or not spicy. I can’t eat spicy foods due to my healthy. Even at a restaurant, they don’t ask you if you want it this of that way. Some of these cooks must have an ego and a half, bc when I try and ask the waiter, it’s usually a hard, “NO!” Unfortunately, many of these items we order, even in cafés, maybe even restaurants, aren’t fresh. They’re pre-maid and sent to the place, already cooked. That is such a turn off. The fact that this food truck, will tailor it to your needs…now that’s a place people will continuously come back to, bc they care, or in my words, GA- about their customers.

We went to their flagship over on 49th more twd 6th (ave.), and there was a line before 11am. More locations. It’s not even lunch, but these suits 👔 were out there about to get their early lunch on, and I don’t blame them, now that’s I’ve tasted it.

I brought a plate home, and NYC Dadí ate that whole Classic Steak up. Young-in had it the Basil Steak for lunch. Of course I tried both, as well as the Sesame, Curry, and Tamarind (secret menu, ask for it 😉) steak while there. I know some of y’all want a recommendation as your first, so here goes…that Sesame hit hard. I did enjoy the others as well, and that Chop Steak…that’s what’s next.

Four menu items. Zero mistakes. 🥩🔥

Chop Steak at 6th & 49th is proof that a small menu is a very good sign. No fillers, no gimmicks—just high-quality steak over perfectly seasoned rice.

I tried the Basil Steak and it’s a 10/10. Sweet, tangy, and easily one of the best lunch finds in Midtown.

Literally the most popular food truck for everyone eating in midtown, @chopsteakny serves delicious steak, riced fries and veggies all for 10 bucks.

You’ll see a lot of finance-y types waiting around here for lunch — so maybe you can use the wait time as a way to network, lol.
