“CrossFit gives me a place to belong. Competing gives me a goal to focus on, but it’s the daily training with my friends where I find my purpose.”

Taylor shared something very similar with us nearly three years ago when he became an OVN Ambassador Athlete. Even then, he talked about how much the training and CrossFit community mattered to him. Competition was important—but, in his words, the competitions were “just the icing on the cake.”

Three years later, that message hasn’t changed.

The goal gives him something to chase. The training keeps him growing. The people give him a place to belong.

That’s what the Y Project is about. Your Y doesn’t have to be a podium, a championship or an extraordinary achievement. Sometimes it’s the people you train beside every day, the next goal on the calendar, and having a place where you know you belong.

That’s Taylor’s Y. What’s yours?

U.S. Air Force Veteran | CrossFit Athlete | OVN Ambassador Athlete

“My Y is the therapy I get while twisting the throttle and shooting in the clock. Competition is the healing that you never get from actual therapy. Helps calm the mind and stress while out enjoying hobbies and life with like minded people.”

🇺🇸 Welcome to the Team —

Please join us in welcoming our newest OVN Ambassador Athlete, Scott Vivien, a United States Marine Corps Veteran who served four years, including deployments in Iraq and Kuwait.

Scott competes in competitive shooting, with experience across more than 20 USPSA matches, along with PRS, Steel Challenge, and SPARC competitions.

His next mission in the sport isn’t just about his own performance. Scott wants to use his experience in long-range shooting to coach and mentor others, helping make a sport that can be difficult to break into more accessible.

“I want to help where I can and coach people into becoming better shooters — to be a knowledge and experience guidance guy.”

But Scott also brings something important beyond the range.

Scott also understands that supporting fellow Veterans goes far beyond the range. He wants to use the relationships he builds through sport to help Veterans navigate life after service — connecting them with knowledge, resources, and opportunities when they need them.

That combination is what the OVN Ambassador Athlete Team is about: sport creates the front door, but what happens after that first connection can be much bigger. It can lead to mentorship, shared knowledge, new relationships, and Veterans helping Veterans move forward.

Welcome to the team Marine. Thank you for your service and for being willing to use both your sport and your experience to help others.

🇺🇸 A long overdue Welcome to the Team — OVN Ambassador Athlete Philip!

Please join us in welcoming one of our new OVN Ambassador Athlete, Philip D Jewah, who is currently serving in the United States Army with 19 years of service as a Joint Fire Support Specialist / JTAC (13Z), including deployments to Afghanistan and Iraq.

Philip brings an impressive competitive background across multiple sports. In motocross, he has earned a State Championship and multiple series podiums. He has also reached the podium in Strongman, earned multiple short-distance running victories, finished in the Top 10 of an ultramarathon, and placed 4th and 3rd in the Best Ranger Competition.

And he’s still chasing bigger goals.

Philip is working toward an Amateur Championship at Loretta Lynn’s and another AMA State Championship in motocross, while also pursuing a Boston Marathon qualifying time and continuing to compete in strength sports.

But what really connects Philip to the OVN Ambassador Athlete mission is why he continues to compete:

“I like the idea of turning my passions, sports, and activities into something bigger — a means to connect with Veterans who may need help finding an outlet or support while serving or separated from service.”

That last part matters. The need for connection, purpose, and a positive outlet doesn’t begin only after someone takes off the uniform.

Philip understands firsthand that competition can provide challenge, discipline, community, and connection while serving and after service. Through the OVN Ambassador Athlete Team, he wants to help others find those same outlets while staying connected himself to like-minded people who understand the value of continuing to have a mission.

Keep competing. Keep connecting. Make it bigger than yourself.

Welcome to the team, Philip — and thank you for your continued service.

🇺🇸 Welcome to the Team

Please join us in welcoming our newest OVN Ambassador Athlete, Trenton Wilson, a United States Marine Corps Veteran who served eight years as an 0331 Machine Gunner, including two deployments to Iraq and a deployment to Afghanistan.

And Trenton is bringing something new to the team — he is OVN’s first Ambassador Athlete in Cowboy Mounted Shooting!

Trenton competes professionally in Cowboy Mounted Shooting, where he has built an impressive competitive record:

- 2026 CMSA Men’s Limited Eliminator National Champion
- 2026 CMSA Kansas State Champion
- 2026 Illinois Capitol Classic Overall Champion
- 2025 CMSA Mid Central Region Limited Champion

And he’s not done. Trenton’s goal is to become one of the Top 10 Cowboy Mounted Shooters in the country, while developing the horses he trains into some of the best in the sport.

But what brought Trenton to the OVN Ambassador Athlete Team goes much deeper than competition.

“After leaving the Marines and retiring from law enforcement, Cowboy Mounted Shooting filled that missing part of what I had. I want to let other Vets know that you can replace what’s missing and be happy and successful.”

That experience is exactly what Trenton wants to share with other Veterans. He found a new challenge, a new community, and something that filled a void after service — and now he wants other Veterans to know they can find that for themselves too.

Trenton found his next mission on horseback and in competition. Now he wants to help others find theirs.

Welcome to the team, Trenton. We’re proud to have you carrying that message forward — and proud to welcome Cowboy Mounted Shooting to the OVN Ambassador Athlete Team.

🇺🇸 Welcome to the Team — OVN Ambassador Athlete Christopher Cesarini

Please join us in welcoming our newest OVN Ambassador Athlete, Christopher C, a United States Army Veteran who served 4 years as an 11B Infantryman.

Chris is a competitive pistol shooter, firearms instructor, and coach with more than 15 years of experience. His goal is to continue developing as a competitor, take his skills to competitions across the country, and see just how far he can take the sport while maintaining the skill and professionalism he brings as both an athlete and instructor.

But his reason for joining OVN goes well beyond competition.

“I believe in the mission. I believe Veterans need a positive outlet once they are separated.”

Chris understands the value of having something positive to pursue after military service. Through his connections in both the competitive shooting and music communities, he wants to help spread the OVN mission, reach more Veterans, and introduce them to opportunities that can give them something to be part of again.

Being an OVN Ambassador Athlete is about more than competition. Sports are the front door—but the team and community behind that door are what make the difference. Whether a Veteran is dealing with isolation, navigating the transition from military service, or simply searching for a new challenge and sense of purpose, the OVN Ambassador Athlete Team creates opportunities to connect with others, get involved, and keep moving forward.

For Chris, that means using the communities he is already part of to reach Veterans where they are and help connect them with something positive.

Welcome to the team, Chris. We look forward to seeing where you take competitive shooting—and who you bring through that front door along the way.
