TBT 2017: Film maker Chris Fenner came to me with an idea to create a project about my 356. He shot the entirety of the “Outlaw Stories” on film as opposed to digitally. The majority of the film was shot around the Appalachian Mountains and in Asheville, North Carolina . This is the teaser from this project. I’ll post the link to the film short if you’d like to see it. 🏁🏁🏁

Thank you @chris.fenner 🏁🏁🏁

Full image pipeline for Grain. Prep > Set > Post

Develop your look beforehand with OFX plugin. Measured 500T for accuracy/starting point.

Using the measured 500T as the control and then using Kodak curves for precision.

Move the look to Grain Box. View on set live. Record any chances with time code syncing to footage. Lock any chances through post with metadata through .lua script.

Finish in Resolve, tweaking or changing what’s needed. OFX matches the Grain Box 1:1.
