Opening this Friday (12/5/2025)!! The debut exhibition from Richmond’s own @chris.fessler! We couldn’t be more stoked to have Chris showing his work to close out the year. Fessler manages to capture the world in a way that brings the tiny details to the forefront, creating an intimate connection to things that are often completely overlooked. His imagery is rich with subtle moodiness and the feeling that he has captured a specific moment in a long historical narrative. Free and open to the public! So honored to be added to the amazing roster of artists in @chris.fessler ‘Space to Create’ project. Chris beautifully captures the energy of artists in their creative environments and I was so excited when he asked me to be part of it! We had an awesome visit in my Manchester studio to chat about my practice, process and what drives me. RICHMOND I need your help! 🗣💙 Connecticut was a Richmond Stample who once sat at the top of the Diamond baseball stadium & was the mascot for the Richmond Braves before they departed back to Georgia in 2008. Connecticut was then relocated on top of the Lucky Strike building from 2010-2019 & now is in search of a new home. Connecticut needs a new home PREFERABLY IN RICHMOND, & I need everyone's help in making this happen! Yesterday, after I posted a visual of Connecticut which reached over 100k views and counting, I was contacted by a Richmonder who sent me the most "EXCLUSIVE" photos of Conneticut as well as his current whereabouts and here is what he had to say! 👇🏾 Chris Fessler - The artist and sculptor of Connecticut was kind enough to invite me to his house here in Richmond last summer to photograph some of his work and studio. We talked about Connecticut for a bit, and how he was in between homes and how Paul would love to find a permanent place for him. It was surreal to see this uniquely Richmond iconic figure up close and talk with its creator about its past and prospects of a future. Paul is a world-class sculptor who also created the Author Ashe monument on Monument Ave., The King Neptune statue on the VA Beach boardwalk, amongst many other works. Last month I had the good fortune of taking part in @chris.fessler ‘s ‘Space to Create’ project, which highlights artists in the environments they use to create. Chris visited my home studio for a nice chat, capturing me (and an old stop-motion animation model friend) doing what I love in my happy place. Chris’s photo project has featured a ton of talented artists like @paul.dipasquale.scu @mattlively @jessecullenceramics and @sophie.printmaking , so while I’m honored to be included I do wonder if he contacted the right Daniel Goodman. A few weeks ago I had the honor of becoming a part of @chris.fessler ‘s Space To Create Project. Chris joined me at my studio and captured every bit of what it looks and feels like to be in there doing what I love❤️ His project showcases ‘artists in the environments they use to create.’ And boy did captured that with me. I can’t look at these photos and not grin from ear to ear. This photo project features artists such as @paul.dipasquale.scu , @mattlively , @jesscullenceramics & more.
