After crossing off our bucket list summit of Long’s Peak, we cruised out to the Sawatch mountains to chill as hard as possible off grid and out of cell service. We called this campsite Waterthief Outpost. If I can figure out how to get there again, I’m definitely going back.

Tiny planets from Longs. What a trip. I love the wild perspectives you can get with a 360 cam.

More longs! It was truly one for the history books. @chris.sullivan14 may be the first person in 30-40 years that hit the summit with a terry cloth @kangol jawn too.

Rocky Pt 3. Longs Peak Summit day! We got ridiculously lucky with the weather window on this hike and got to take all the time we wanted to make it to the summit and hang out up top. And yes, standing on the edge of huge drops and pondering life is one of my fav things to do in this world.

Rocky pt 3. Longs Peak day 1. Me and @chris.sullivan14 have been talking about this for the better part of 5 years. The stars finally aligned and we got the sickest weather window we could have asked for.

Rocky pt 1. My fav adventure buddy @chris.sullivan14 came out to cross off a bucket list hike and to bum around in the mountains with me. As always, it was a glorious trip. More to come!

When Chris leaves the brewhouse to slide a plate of fried pickles in front of you! Now that’s how you start a Friday! This fried pickle appetizer special won’t last long, get in here while they’re hot!

Last week at the crack of dawn, fueled by coffee and donuts, we linked up with our friends Mo, Spencer & Chris at @lock27brewing to brew up something dope for you this summer.

Stories were told, shenanigans were had and a Hoppy Red Lager was born. Perfect for summer sippin’ and patio hangs, look for our collab it to be on tap at Alematic and both Lock 27 taprooms within the next few weeks.

Employee Spotlight 🔦

Chris Sullivan, Head Brewer of our R&D Brewhouse in Centerville, Ohio has been with Lock 27 Brewing for just over a year now! @chris.sullivan14 hit the ground running as a first-time brewer when he joined our Production Team, following his 5+years as a distiller at a popular whiskey distillery, and before that, 20+ years as a graphic designer for Hasbro Toys and Alien Workshop/Habitat Skateboards. It’s possible that a well-known bottle of bourbon on your shelf was crafted by Chris, himself!

Chris’s favorite Lock 27 beer is Mouth Breather, our cult-classic IPA, and his favorite Lock 27 accomplishment is working on collabs with other breweries.

When Chris isn’t in the Brewhouse, he’s doing cool outdoorsy stuff like traveling cross-country in his RV, skateboarding at the skate park, and taking incredible photos of the moon!

Fun fact: Chris comes in at 3 AM for a brew day!

Keep up with this new social media series as we highlight a team member of the Lock 27 Brewing staff! Our staff is our core, and we’re excited to share these amazing individuals that contribute to our success and our mission of being Authentically Different. 🍻
