Just got the drawings out to check and count them, turns out I am actually on 146 as there are 145 altogether, so here they all are as it stands at the moment. Think I shall have to do an audit at some point.
When finally complete, the plan is by the end of this year this will function as one piece of work.

A couple of years ago I did a series of small scale goldpoint works relating to a piece of writing by Maeve Brennan where she took the same walk every day around a particular area of New York within four specific corners. I did four drawings of each corner except this one I realised after I'd finished was the wrong location a block away. So I kept it because it works as a drawing in itself, but I've called it

So proud and pleased that my three goldpoint drawings (a single tryptych) have been selected for this year's @warringtonartsfest #wcaf2020 currently showing at Warrington Museum and Art Gallery until 20th December. A beautifully curated and exceptionally well installed exhibition of really outstanding work. My thanks to all the selectors and exhibition organisers who chose my work and have done such a wonderful job in what are quite exceptional and trying times.

What struck me about our visit to the Houses of Parliament the other day was how utterly archaic it is and also how recent it all was before wider society were actually able to vote, culminating in Universal Suffrage in 1928. Even before that voting for the under 30"s or those without property was strictly limited, so its essentially a complete fallacy that the country has this deep democratic history. What it does have is history in spades but democracy itself is a very recent occurrence and the majority of the power is still in the hands of institutions ill equipped to deal with change and basically controlled by the same families that have overseen process for hundreds of years.
A self portrait taken on the same spot in Westminster Hall where Charles 1 was trialled in 1649 before being executed outside Banqueting House.
