Before we even get to ‘make it count’ - is the deeper personal intimacy and relationship with God that must come before all else.

So good to hear artist Emeric talk about what touched him from the last iMPACT Conference 🙌❤️🙌

Much love to @marky.bowater for the mention of his dad and living UK legend Chris Bowater, whose life and songs have such a huge impact on us even now. Just had to put one of his songs to this video.

‘My Jesus, my Saviour
Lord there is none like You..’

On July 15th 2006, 23,000+ people from 40 different nations worshipped at the Olympic Stadium, Berlin, Germany. The final song - “All Over This World” - was sung in different languages.

My annual prompt to have a listen to the one Christmas song I wrote, with the help of bassist Steve Lawson and our good friend Chris Bowater. Back in the day, we used to do a tour in December called "Together For Christmas", along with Trish Morgan. They were great fun! If you were at one of those events, leave a comment! We'd love to relive the memory with you ... and MERRY CHRISTMAS to all! Find the full song on YouTube - link in my bio or copy: https://youtu.be/7far0W1pYus?si=wSB0oczGr50sDWZj

Song Stories 2/10

I’LL STAND was a song that was co-written by YFC colleague Andy Clark for the youth ministries event at a festival called Spring Harvest in the early 90’s. The original vocal for the version recorded for the conference was done by our friend Derek Bond. So, when ICC Records asked me to do an album of my original worship songs, which churches across the UK were singing, I finally got to do this version, one driven by the unplugged style of the mid-90’s.

Alex Cook handled drums with bamboo split six, Steve Lawson on bass, Laurence Blackler handled the keyboard accordion parts, and Joanna Holland Vestal sang the duet vocal. I handled the fake mandolin parts by using a capo on the 10th fret on a small-body electro-acoustic guitar (Yamaha? Aria?) - we dubbed it the ‘Capolin”!

If your heart takes more pleasure in reading novels, or watching TV, or going to the movies, or talking to friends, rather than just sitting alone with God and embracing him, sharing his cares and his burdens, weeping and rejoicing with him, then how are you going to handle forever and ever in his presence? You’d be bored to tears in heaven, if you’re not ecstatic about God now!” ~ Keith Green💚
