Perfect cap to a great birthday week spending time at the new @joslynartmuseum and catching @jungle4eva live. The new wing of the museum is beautiful and wonderfully compliments the old building. Tons of amazing new modern pieces along with way more native representation. Excited @cleanslatefoodco is running the cafe too! It was great. So much love to my wife for the staycation and amazing pastel Winter Solstice SBs. They perfectly matched the sweet Jungle jersey from @kobrakyle @magsheehy 😍 was so grateful to spend the evening with @chrisdinan @ellensievers @j_nelle_bell @tjaykillah @michaelhennings and see some many other great friends dancing the night away. The band and the show were spectacular. Nice space @astronebraska I’ll be back. Great photos Maggie! Thank you!

Excited for this one. One of my favorite humans and Dj’s is coming to Omaha. We connected online through the homies @brent_tactic @catchdini and had her out for GuNk in 2012ish. After a few hangs in Austin and NYC we remained friends for years and happy to have her back while she is on top of the world. She is gracious and graceful. Ruling BBC radio with her Essential Mix and own show. Award winning label. Amazing production and remixes. World tours. Anyway. I’m a fan. I hope it’s a publicity stunt. If not, cool but they better release some new solo music damnit. Daft Punk is very much apart of my DJ identity and I have my brother @a_dancing_fool to thank for that. While I was blasting Black Star in my room as a youth, Alex was blasting Homework. Wish he could have been there in 2007 for the Pyramid at Red Rocks. I named my residency at the Bricktop Digitalove. I played multiple theme parties at the Waiting Room and Loom. We always wanted more. We will miss them but the legacy will live forever.

it’s my birthday today. And even though im pretty ocd about this pandemic and try not to make a big deal about my bday, i’m gonna celebrate with a few people in person so i can feel a kind of joyous normalcy i haven’t had in 9 months. but i also wanna celebrate here. cuz you, especially in this time, you’re the people i wanna celebrate with too. so here’s a photo of me every year for the past ten years with people i love. but please remember, god damn, i also love you too, cuz ur the best.

2010: Back when I would wear a bow tie & tuxedo shirt while dancing. If you see me yelling on a dancefloor, it’s from unbridled joy.

2011: My absolute favorite photo of my first Omaha brothers. They’ve taught me so much & filled my life with love.

2012: The first Underwear Ride organized by @timaides & I in September 2012. I miss it. I also miss being woman-handled by two babes painting me.

2013: The label that literally changed the course of my life & resulted in the career i love. Saddle Creek Records was the first office job I ever had and comprised these incredible dudes. SC holds the most special place in my heart. I love you nerds.

2014: At a wedding afterparty with Chris Dinan, the man of impeccable taste & my partner of limitless parties & afterhours. Here he is doing what he does best: looking intentionally creepy in photos.

2015: Glenna, one of my absolute favorite dance partners. Here she is exuding the energy that made me love her.

2016: Jay cooked me dinner, Jonny gave me a chokehold, and Ryan smiled as hard as I do. Par for the course for some of the most important boys in my life.

2017: Sam Valenti, one of the most thoughtful, busiest people I know, visited me numerous times when I was in the hospital. He also gave me a job at one of the dopest indie labels when i needed it. ilu sam.

2018: The first and only time I’ve officiated a wedding. And it was for a couple I introduced. I also happen to love all of the brothers of the groom. I love The Smiths.

2019: New Years. Cheers ya’ll. From Jonny and I to you.
