LOS ANGELES! Don't waste your Halloween weekend stuck in traffic and long lines this Halloween just to see an old boat in Long Beach. See The Baby Halloween Spooktacular instead!

The Baby has it all. Ghosts! Werewolves! Vintage synthesizers! It's a spine-tingling auditory experience like no other coming to the @elysiantheater for ONE SPOOKY NIGHT ONLY on Thursday, October 29th at 7:30 PM.

Why spend $125 just to have one random actor in prosthetics yell at you at the Haunted Hayride? For just $20 you can sit back, relax, and enjoy a terrifying evening of Radio Mystery Theater with ten random actors who just want to make you laugh.

Why spend $87 to wait in line for a major movie-studio-conglomerate's themed haunted house that just tries to distract you from how many industry jobs they've cut? Not to mention the $28 you spend on lemonade! The Baby doesn't have any lemonade and that's the way we like it!

The Baby is sure to be an hour you and your ears won't forget. That's right, just sixty minutes. Unlike those other Halloween activities that steal your soul, empty your wallet, and somehow make 5 to 6 of your precious Halloween weekend free time disappear....

We've been told many times that this show is so convoluted and so nonsensical that it makes existing on this doomed planet deliciously delightful.

earlier this year, i declared it creek freak summer, and boy did we commit to the bit. we swam, we frolicked, we got endless mosquito bites, and spent as much time in the water as humanly possible. even when an ER doctor strictly forbade me from entering any body of water for at least three weeks, our very hot camp nurse double-bagged my injured hand and sent me right back in.

a real highlight was the week leading up to the wedding. before the obligations began, some of our dearest friends gathered for long days in the river, late nights getting into trouble, hearty communal meals, and raucous laughter that echoed through the big trees.

there was so much love in the air that i found myself crying almost every day. not over anything particularly big but in the smallest moments. watching friends become friends, losing track of time in nature and simply enjoying existing. it was one of those rare stretches of time where you already knew how much you’d miss it.

long live creek freak summer. you were one for the books.
