Today I officially graduate from Officer Development School, and my heart is SO full. 🥹💙
I came to ODS knowing I was here to learn how to become a Naval Officer, but I’m leaving with so much more than I ever expected. I learned about leadership, resilience, discipline, teamwork, accountability, and what it truly means to serve—but I also laughed until my stomach hurt, made memories I’ll never forget, and somehow found the most incredible people along the way. ✨
To the friends who became family somewhere between the early mornings, long days, inspections, marching, studying, struggling, celebrating, and asking ourselves approximately 47 times a day what was happening 😂—I am SO thankful for you. There’s something really special about going through an experience like this together, and I’ll forever be grateful our paths crossed here. 💙⚓️
To our Class Officers and RDCs—thank you for challenging us, teaching us, pushing us to be better, and showing us what leadership in the United States Navy looks like. Every lesson and every standard you held us to helped shape the officers graduating today. 🫡💙
And then there’s the part that still makes me emotional…
I’m a United States Navy Officer.
AND A NAVY NURSE. 🥹⚓️🩺🇺🇸
LIKE… ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! 😭
Getting to combine the career I love so deeply with the opportunity to serve my country is something I will never take for granted. Nursing has given me purpose for so many years, and now I get to carry that purpose into the Navy—caring for our Sailors, Marines, service members, and their families while wearing this uniform.
There were moments when getting here felt so far away. So many unknowns, so much waiting, and so many times I just had to trust that the next step would eventually reveal itself.
And now here I am. 🥹
Commissioned.
Navy Nurse.
Naval Officer.
ODS GRADUATE!!! 🎓⚓️🩺🇺🇸✨
I am proud, humbled, ridiculously grateful, and SO excited for whatever comes next. Thank you to everyone who made this chapter one I’ll never forget.

I knew leaving for the Navy would mean leaving people I love, but I wasn’t prepared for how much my heart would ache leaving my Trauma ICU family.
There’s something about doing this work together—the impossible shifts, the miracles, the losses, the 3am delirium and laughing until we cry—that turns coworkers into family.
Alexis, Nina & Sarah, thank you for being my people through all of it. And my little babies Jill, James, Michael & Holly 😭—watching you grow into the nurses you are has made me so ridiculously proud.
Christine, Meribeth, Jake W. (who went off to start his own Air Force adventure 🥹), and every single person who has taught me, trusted me, laughed with me and poured into me—you’ve impacted me more than you probably know.
I came here knowing how to be a feral rat trauma ER nurse, but you all helped shape the feral rat trauma ICU nurse I became. And I’ll carry a little piece of this Trauma ICU—taxidermy rat porn, and all of you—into every room I walk into for the rest of my career.
I love you guys more than I can put into words. 🤍

This holiday season looked a little different 🎆🎊spent under bright loud monitors and ventilators instead of twinkling lights, surrounded by coworkers who don’t just feel like family but are family, and caring for patients who needed us most. ❤️
To everyone who spent Christmas and New Year working in the ER or ICU or anywhere in between: you are seen, appreciated, and never alone. Here’s to healing, resilience, and hope in 2026. ✨

It has most certainly been a summer 👀 big thanks to everyone who has supported Gomorrah since it’s been out, and even bigger thanks to my incredible friends in philly who have all inspired me & supported me & challenged me & entertained me & honestly I could go on but I don’t have the space, or the words, to express what my time in philly has meant to me. The best four years of my life, truly. I will be back to bother you all the time don’t you worry.

Anyway let’s hope New York doesn’t eat me alive this time. 👍🏻
