Just about a year ago, I thought the things I had to say about the albums I listen to on repeat mattered enough to start Crashed Out Magazine. What began as a casual space for opinionated reviews and half-organized playlists has become a way for me to connect to artists both within my immediate community and far beyond over what inspires them to write, produce, and perform music. I've had the opportunity to sit down and chat with some of my biggest inspirations and some of my best friends (who are also my biggest inspirations). And that is everything I could ever have wanted from this endeavor. In the coming year, I'd love to keep the momentum going. I don't yet know what the next evolution of this blog-magazine looks like. But I do know Crashed Out started as, and remains, an outlet that keeps me emotionally and mentally grounded. If that's what Crashed Out continues being in 2026 and 2027, then I'll fucking take it. Want to sit down for an interview? Interested in writing a guest review? Sitting on a playlist you want to share with people who might appreciate it? Reach out! 09/03/2008 The Static Age - Romeo, MI (1/2) monument monument The Swellers Fake Problems @fakeyps Crime In Stereo I remember I was super stoked about this one. CIS was supposed to play here earlier in the year but got stuck in some bad weather and weren’t able to make it. I had this one marked on my calendar for a while and was really happy to finally see them for the first time. I’d never heard of Fake Problems before this and when they started playing I was blown away. To this day they’re still in a regular rotation of listening for me. Crime In Stereo was one of my favorites at this time (still is). I’m pretty sure one of their songs from “Is Dead” was my MySpace profile song at this time too. After this show they became one of my favorites to photograph too.

@jeffrosenstock night one of Maximum Worry at The Rooftop at Pier 17. What an indescribable experience. Holy shit. Perhaps more of these in the future. I've barely been home since I shot these.
