In March backyard hangs at our pond are going to be a little different! Baby Rich we cannot wait to meet you! As @brooke_elysee and I have been in this season of expectant waiting we have been dreaming about what is to come for our family. A couple of weeks ago @arlieband was in town and he played an acoustic version of “someone you can believe in”. Since then, these lyrics have become our prayer for our daughter and what we want to be for her. While I’m sure these words were not written about the relationship between parents and their child… that’s what’s beautiful about art, it can be both. Special thanks to Arlie for the video (it cuts off on this post, so throwing it on the feed) and the custom line about mom and dad! As a Marine, he flew helicopters, was Airborne and attached to Army and foreign forces, and taught at Georgia Tech and Morehouse College as the Marine Officer Instructor. In the Navy, Rich earned the rank of Commander and served as Department Head for the Emergency Medicine Department in Kandahar, Afghanistan. #film #production @kevinthebeastbploth

This kid turns 7 tomorrow. 7 is an inspiring number in our house for many reasons. And in absolute true form to Asher he decided to do something inspiring for his 7th birthday.

Instead of PRESENTS he asked his friends and family to instead donate $7 (or $77) to @charitywater hoping to raise $777 and get clean water to 20 people!

@callierichlovesyou & I believe deeply that generosity is at the center of human flourishing. "the more you give, the more you get. the more you love, the more you live." So to say we're proud and honored to be Asher's parents is an understatement. Happy birthday Asher! We love you so much!
