Every time @BrothersLazaroff calls, we say yes. 📸 There’s always something brewing: a new project, a fresh concept, a dope way to bring people together through music. With their new album #TryingToMakeItHome they needed refreshed imagery for this next chapter. With Valeria’s creative direction and Phillip’s eye behind the lens, we created a collection that captures the depth, character and energy of #Brothers Lazaroff … images that have become part of their promotions, email campaigns and storytelling around the new album. That’s what we love about what we do: creating images that feel like you, tell your story and give you room to create. Much love to Brothers Lazaroff for continuing to trust us with the vision. 🖤 Follow them, stream Trying to Make It Home, and support the work they pour into the music community. And if your brand, business, band or next big idea needs some new images… Come shoot with us • HamerStudiosSTL.com

No stage. No rehearsal. Just music, friends, and a little experimenting. 🎶 Tuesday’s #BrothersLazaroffExperiment at Joe’s Cafe was all about leaving space for the unexpected. We deconstructed the stage, spread musicians throughout the room + brought together friends and collaborators from across the Brothers Lazaroff musical family to simply play and create together. Thank you to everyone who came to play, listen, dance, and be part of something special. And if you want in on the next experiment, stay close. The final MATI shots from Sunday. @djsinamin knew exactly what songs to play as we waited to enter the lobby before the show. Finally, it was time for two of my local favorites to have their Fox moment, and both Aida Ade and Sir Eddie C delivered. Aida was absolutely stunning in her black dress, and Eddie found the perfect tone for Keyon's mood... Both of them showed that they were exactly ready for the big stage. Then, @aida__ade @iampetermartin and @sireddiec with @keyonharrold and @chrisdaddydave and crew made my favorite moment of the weekend when Keyon welcomed Aida and Eddie back for an improv jam that was a MOMENT. Keyon quietly made the same magic happen Friday when Rapsody was joined by Moonchild. After their amazing display of St. Louis excellence, Keyon and PJ did their wonderfully sublime "Beautiful Day", and then Keyon, a Ferguson native, performed his haunting eulogy of "MB's Lament" for Michael Brown and then @andradaymusic came on and did a rendition of "Strange Fruit" that was simply stunning. Honestly, just that first hour was enough. I almost left right then. Keyon's ability to be a leader yet simply find a way to have his trumpet woven indelibly into the groove is amazing. He is a virtuoso and yet I never felt he was taking a solo moment. It is a kind of brilliance that is hard to understand. The confidence and humility that allows your collaborators to shine while you still soar is special. Peter Martin on keys understood the same, and his presence was always felt and never noticed... except when Keyon referenced his bass line on the keys. Two gentlemen who are masters of the ensemble. Every moment they made captivated me. I didn't take any pictures of that part. The songs they did had too much weight. Later, @pjmorton and @wyclefjean did their thing and it was a grand end to another amazing @matistlouis weekend. I've gone to 5 out of 6, and every year has been filled with magical moments. This year was no exception. Keyon's mood and tone at the Fox show was nothing short of higher bliss blended with inward contemplation. A special thank you to @chrishansen124. A man I've never met, but who I'm grateful to!
