An ode to my parents, my Vietnamese heritage, and little Saigon 🤍

I come from a lineage of entrepreneurs. My dad was a Vietnamese music producer and the founder of Hải Âu Entertainment - one of the first Vietnamese American production companies in the U.S. My mom wore more hats than I can count: she owned a bridal shop, a nail salon, and a hair salon; she was a real-estate agent, broker, interior designer, and TV show host for over a decade. For most of my life, she was also a single mom, raising my brothers and me on her own.

I grew up surrounded by a family of hustlers - watching my parents, aunts, and uncles pour everything they had into their work to make ends meet and build a better life for their family. They are the embodiment of the immigrant dream - resilient, relentless, and ambitious.

This AAPI Heritage Month and Mother’s Day, I’m taking time to reflect on what it means to be Vietnamese-American - embracing my heritage through my work, and honoring the sacrifices my parents made to give me and my siblings the opportunity to dream big.

We hosted our Spring Flower Arranging Workshop & Sunday Brunch this weekend!!✨

We had the perfect selection of spring flowers (sooo many allium varieties, fritillaria, and tulips) and the loveliest group of people to share them with. It was such a joy to meet you all & im so appreciative of you taking time out of your Sunday to join us. I feel so lucky to be able to meet you and connect with you during workshops.

A massive thank you to @madisoneatsthis for the beautiful and delicious spread! Special shoutout to the pavlova—I had five and didn’t want to stop.

A big thank you to @reccreate_collective for welcoming us into her gorgeous space—can’t wait for more to come!!
