𝑫𝑹𝑨𝑺𝑰𝑰 - 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑺𝒆𝒆𝒌𝒆𝒓
ETC Records / Shmee Records
November 6 2026

A1 Daydream
A2 Vertigo
B1 Tiger’s Eye
B2 Hycean
B3 Sorcerer

Chicago-based duo DRASII (@lisa_gl3nn & @chriskaylis ) return with 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑺𝒆𝒆𝒌𝒆𝒓, the follow-up EP to 2024’s 𝘚𝘱𝘪𝘳𝘪𝘵𝘰 𝘊𝘦𝘭𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘦. Co-released on ETC and Shmee Records, it continues their trek through a paranormal sonic landscape. Using vintage analogue and FM hardware synths, the five-track release runs through Deep House, Acid, Electro, Balearic and Post-Industrial.

The opening track, “Daydream,” features celestial, wispy vocals, deep bass and sparkling synth melodies. It leads into “Vertigo,” which follows with a shifting drone over repetitive Juno 60 notes channeling Chris & Cosey or Adrian Sherwood. This is what Sarah and John Connor would have in the tape deck while barrelling down the freeway in a stolen police cruiser.

On the reverse side, “Tiger’s Eye” leads with SH-101 bass that moves around a swinging 909 beat, creating a downtempo feel that mixes inspiration from Larry Heard and Ibiza in the 90s. From there, “Hycean” propels forward with 707 drums and acid bass before breaking into a syncopated polyrhythm accented by witchy vocal samples. “Sorcerer” closes on an upbeat, electro feel, centered around a dark metallic bass blended with 6/8 time arpeggio melodies.

The Seeker is a lucid dream, a spell, and a stirring of the subconscious: five transmissions from somewhere just beyond the void.

The artwork for our LP “MIRRORS, SHAPES, OBJECTS” comes from a massive outdoor painting by our longtime friend and collaborator @justusroe

At a former high school at Ashland and Catalpa Avenues on the north side of Chicago, the entire parking lot is transformed into a giant canvas. Painted in 2020, a few years of sun and cracks in the pavement age the painting and add incredible textures and details only fully visible from high in the sky.
