Everything in Life is Only For Now🧡

It’s so difficult to explain how meaningful living on Avenue Q has been these past few months. So much laughter. So much joy. So much good challenge. So much mental and physical pain from those lovely puppets. The most kind and stupid-talented cast. The most supportive creative team. And what a first show to do in Canada! No notes, no complaints, no what ifs. Just joyous as f**k!!

So excited to do it all again Summer 2027…

I’ve been typing and retyping various captions to encapsulate what music directing Avenue Q @metrotheatre meant to me. Everything about this process, from day 1 of rehearsals to closing night, felt like a flow state. There was the perfect amount of both ease and challenge, comfort and discovery.

I’m grateful that we have only closed For Now and we get to do this again next summer. Grateful for my sick band for jamming with me every night, for the 7 incredible actors who made me laugh every day, for @chriskingcreative for his vision, directing expertise, and collaboration, and for our crew that made the whole thing work and work REALLY WELL. 💛

Auditions are now open for CTORA’s 10th Anniversary production of Peter Pan — the 1954 Broadway musical version — running April 9–18, 2027 at the BMO Theatre Centre, Vancouver

2 months of rehearsal, 1 month of 25 shows, 25 new poses for whipped into shape, 516 pushups, endless bits, countless fist bumps and a Fulbright Rhodes later… #legallyblondethemusical @metrotheatre

Truly one of the most memorable and rewarding experiences of my life thus far. Being a part of this incredible show with such a talented, supportive, kind and hilarious cast and crew is something I will hold close for the rest of my life. Never thought I’d be back singing live, let alone in musical theatre and now I can’t go without it.

Thank you @chriskingcreative for trusting us with your vision, @marquisxbyrd for making sure we sound SIIIIIIICK and @makaylajeanmoore for making sure we never miss a beat or step. An eternal thank you to @kimmybaggins for inspiring and pushing me to step into this world.. I don’t think I’ll ever look back now🤟🤟

A HUGE thank you to everyone who came to support our run, it was so amazing getting to connect and reconnect with people across different communities and walks of life.

I will miss the endless and ever evolving bits/inside jokes, dollar store candy runs, dressing room DJ sets, Mario Kart 8 DLC, and the PSB’s (iykyk) #duuuuuuuuuude

It’s been an incredible privilege to get to SING, DANCE and ACT 5 times a week for the last month with y’all. Our cast, crew and the overall theatre community is truly something special. I hope we all get to cross paths again on and off the stage.

We’ve all strived to prove our worth and experience success, only to realize that others still see our least important qualities. This was true for the vibrant, pink-loving protagonist Elle Woods (@celestenic_), when her ambitious yet entitled boyfriend, Warner Huntington III (@steviemyers), broke up with her. He viewed her as a stereotypical ditzy blonde who would hinder his Harvard Law School ambitions. Heartbroken but determined, Elle quickly transforms her grief into a plan to attend Harvard Law School to win him back.

Based on Amanda Brown’s 2001 novel and the film, both titled Legally Blonde, ‘Legally Blonde: The Musical’ delves into themes of self-discovery, breaking stereotypes, and confronting prejudice. Directed by Christopher King (@chriskingcreative), it was performed at Metro Theatre (@metrotheatre) from May 8 to June 7 and is the final production of Metro Theatre’s 2025-26 season.

The musical opens with the lively song “Omigod You Guys,” sung by Elle Woods and the Delta Nu sorority sisters as they celebrate the rumour that Warner might propose to Elle. This performance introduces Elle as bubbly, fashion-loving, and deeply loyal to her community.

Despite the painful breakup, Elle finds support and comfort from her three best friends and Delta Nu sorority sisters: Serena (@hollyraebradbury), Margot (@marayafranca), and Pilar (@claudinepaed). When Elle is accepted into Harvard, they become a “Greek Chorus” inside her mind, visible only to Elle and the audience. They appear throughout the show, offering comedic advice and lively backup vocals.

Elle also made new friends along the way, including the charming hairstylist Paulette Buonufonte (@juliahalabourda) and the sincere Harvard law student Emmett Forrest (Daniel Curalli). The consistent support from her friends helps Elle realize her…(tap link in bio for more)
