I have the greatest family who showered us with love this weekend—and this is just a fraction of it 💕 These people have raised me, housed me, taken care of me, laughed at my jokes, sang with me, come to my shows, answered the phone on hard days, and have supported me when I needed it most. I am so lucky.

Thanks to everyone who came out for Videodrome last night! We raised $2,500 for the @wealthytheatre, got heartfelt reflections of working with David Cronenberg from Art Hinkle, a very special intro from @brofromanotherone, a recap of the data from our March Madness bracket by @anna_the_davis25, and so much more! A big thanks to @thefirstjcampo and @kyle_macciomei for putting it all together and making it happen!

Happy birthday to this wonderful human being, @mariealuisa. I am so grateful for the love, the light, the laughs, the art you make, the art we make, the trips to Lake Michigan, adventures near & far, the yoga you teach us, the questions you ask, the presence you foster, your kindness, your heart, and all the empathy, strength, and joy you encourage in me and so many others. You’re the best. Wishing you nothing but the happiest and brightest trip around the sun ahead. Love you. ☀️

Our High Stakes Acting Lab presentations went up on Sunday, and I’m so proud of this powerhouse group of performers! It’s been a great 7 weeks chasing emotional truth onstage. Collaborating with these artists taking bold swings, supporting each other, and elevating the work has been inspiring and FUN. Huge gratitude to everyone who participated, trusted the process, and made this experience so great. You brought your full selves, and it showed in the work. #HighStakesActingLab #ActingTraining #ActorLife #ProcessOverPerfection #CreativeRisk

RIP Pugsley Addams. Thank you for giving me the freedom to unleash chaos and flail my 10 year old limbs around the stage. I’ve always been told that I act too animated—that I need to focus on not being distracting in a scene. For this role I could throw all of that out the window 😂🙌 To the cast, I loved finding new moments every show to shape the weird of this family. Thank you for shaping the Addams playground. “Pugsley you’re a true artist… you embraced the darkness of despair and suddenly the world makes sense. You are a true Addams!” Thank you to my friends and family that made the trek out to Central Park 🖤 I’ll pass a cigar your way. I wish I could tell high school Kendall that one day she will truly transform from the “funny sidekick” to sea creatures, fierce women, little boys, and Shakespeare icons. Next transformation: Bromeo vs. The Juliettes! I will still be causing some chaos in the role of Mercutio ⚔️ Tickets are available now! @mashuprocknrollmusical #addamsfamily #pugsley

I got to speak to @blackmagicnewsofficial about this project - check out Blackmagic’s site to read the full story! Excerpt: Colvin explained the planning, pitching and advantages of shooting cinematic opera performances: “When Emilee and I began discussing ‘Stinney,’ I felt it would shine if shot on cinema cameras, but couldn’t find an example of a full length opera filmed that way. Opera captures have been traditionally shot with broadcast cameras, which are more forgiving than cinema cameras. Cinema cameras, which use shallow depth of field and require high precision operation, are typically considered too difficult to deploy in live environments. However, my team and I had used Blackmagic cinema cameras in live theatre environments before, and felt comfortable using the Blackmagic cinema workflow for ‘Stinney.’ We are very happy we did.” #multicam #opera
