MY CLITORIS! A cheeky but very meaningful music video I directed, working with the young people of Integrate UK - making it very clear that no form of FGM is acceptable. The video challenges some people’s assertions that type 1 or type 4 FGM is ‘mild’ or not serious. Thank you to everyone who worked on this and special mentions go to Editor @catarinamroliveira MUA @rebeccarosemua Song writer @rosina_buck DOP @woodyjamesdp Colourist @chrislyons_photography To watch the full version check out my Vimeo or follow link on bio. x #endFGM

Have you ever had that feeling that you’re standing on the edge of a cliff and that irrational little voice in your head whispers, “go on… I dare you… jump.” In a world of competing narratives... who controls yours? This is the trailer for a drama series I directed. “L’APPEL DU VIDE” - “CALL OF THE VOID” "He who fights with monsters should look to it that he himself does not become a monster. If you stare too long into the abyss, the abyss will stare back at you” Friedrich Nietzsche CALL OF THE VOID is a short live action series about Shukri, a shy Muslim girl with super powers, who gets sent to a rehabilitation clinic for young people at risk of radicalisation. The series was developed and produced in collaboration with the young people of Integrate UK, based on their ideas and the issues that they were interested in exploring, some of the most prominent being the issues of radicalisation and racial stereotyping. Through the young people’s eyes, CALL OF THE VOID presents a fresh and interesting perspective on these very current issues in our society. At the heart of this project was working with young people who had little experience, as actors and as crew behind and in front of camera. I would like to thank all the cast and crew who made this twisted, weird and wonderful series possible.
