They arrived at Diablo a little shy and apprehensive. Then our community adopted them.

Members baked bread and pastries, cooked meals, shared restaurant tips, loaned them bikes, taught bicycle-racing techniques, hiked and dined with them, provided Chiro care, Orthopedic counsel and most of all: enthusiastically cheered them on at the CrossFit Games.

We refused to charge them for training, so they returned the favor by coaching classes and inviting our members into their preparation. They were gracious, humble, kind—and simply awesome CrossFitters doing what they love.

Many Diablo members hadn’t followed the Games before. After meeting these athletes, they drove to San Jose to watch and cheer. That may be the athletes’ greatest contribution to our sport: they turn spectators into fans and strangers into community.

Thank you for making Diablo your home away from home. ❤️

Shout out to our 41 Diablo members who held the Standard (and OUR standards) for the 2024 @crossfitgames Quarter Finals. We captured videos nervously, measured everything carefully, judged each other diligently and pushed ourselves relentlessly. And the results were amazing. Some of us are moving on to Semis, and the rest of us are eagerly looking forward to next year. Thank you @crossfitgames @apbozman & @thedavecastro for an awesome Quarter Final experience! 🎞️ 🔥@heraldh
