🏝️ @ssbdfest recap (better late than never 😅).

What a special event and space this festival is; it’s quickly become one of my favorites. 💖 I got the opportunity to paint my first mural, and what a treat it was. To be placed and painting by the heart of the festival @creationstationssbd was so special. Big shout out to @barelyawakekalee and @sunnysamart and everyone at the Creation Station and @whoadega for all the love they pour into providing a space for creativity to thrive and shine.

The vibes at Same Same are unmatched, the attention to detail the crew puts into throwing this event is evident and brings a rare kind of magic. To be showcasing my work alongside so many talented artists was such a blessing. Being placed next to @macksun in the gallery, our artwork played off each other so well (collabs gotta happen soon). Grateful to finally get to share my work at this incredible festival, and to work and play side by side with my best friends. 🥹

A goal of mine this year was to paint my first mural - we got about halfway there. To be continued soon, I painted on canvas so I could easily continue in my studio! Thanks for all the love and memories. ✨

Sneak peek at Day 1 live painting at @lovelongbeachfestival next to the Bass Stage!
I love this stage because the sounds that come out are psychedelic brilliance fueling our creativity in ways I could only imagine in these types of settings. Also being a part of this festival for 7 years there are many talented artist and familiar faces I see here. We’re a family helping nurture each others creativity. Thank you @sodiane for your leadership this year helping cultivate the art for our communities and everyone who help this festival so magical and impactful!🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽

A glorious evening of art and celebration. 🌸

Started the night at @coreyhelfordgallery for @andreaguzzetta solo “Oasis” that showcased sweet dream worlds of delightful flora and fauna, tender embraces of love. The inclusion of her stained glass pieces, illuminated by LED frames, allowed for the breadth of her artistic talent to be admired. The warmest soul who deserves all the praise.
@brandimilne brought us back to her signature wonderland in “Now, and Forever More” while also expressing a distinctive evolution in voice and technique with masterful still life pieces that gave me chills. Bravely pushing the boundaries of expectations. As one of the first artists I ever interviewed for my then art blog, and shows I worked at @thinkspace_art complete with an Easter egg hunt for prints, Brandi has always been a beautiful marker on my heart for when I entered into the Los Angeles art scene.
Ending the night at @gabbagallery for @thisiscannibalflower 90 artists group exhibition. @el.cizzle has been providing emerging artists a platform for nearly three decades, breaking down the pretension and embracing the spirit of creative expression. Countless notable, talented artist have had the privilege to get their start at Cannibal Flower and it’s energizing to have it find a home for a few weeks instead of one crazy night.
