POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
About two years ago, I felt like I had made it. I was young, making six figures in sales, had a house, a Corvette, money, and the freedom to enjoy life. But looking back, I have to take accountability. I wasn’t financially responsible and spent money on things I didn’t need because I thought they would make me feel successful and valuable. Eventually, the bills, chargebacks, and pressure caught up with me. I fell out of love with my job, stopped showing up, and eventually quit. I lost the job, the money, the house, the Corvette, and honestly, I felt like I lost my identity with it. I had to move back in with my parents and start over from almost zero. I felt like a failure and went through one of the darkest periods of my life, to the point where I didn’t even want to be here anymore. But I kept pushing forward. I tried different jobs and eventually started taking DoorDash seriously. A close friend reminded me that I didn’t have to go back to a life I wasn’t happy with, and I realized the freedom I had was something I couldn’t take for granted. Today, I’m grateful to be a Dasher, pay my bills, travel, explore, and have control over my own time. I eventually moved back out, moved to the Houston area, and started rebuilding my life. I’m still figuring things out, and my walk with God hasn’t been perfect, but looking back, I can see He was still there even when I couldn’t see Him. He provided through people, opportunities, friendships, and another chance to start over. I lost a lot, but I learned my worth was never in my money, job, house, car, or what others thought of me. If you’re starting over, please don’t think your life is over. Starting over doesn’t mean you failed. Sometimes it’s the beginning of something better. I’m still rebuilding, but I’m grateful to be here and grateful my story isn’t over. And to the friends in these photos: thank you for loving me for who I was, not what I had. You listened, stood by me, checked on me, and were there even when I felt like I had nothing to offer. And to the new friends I’ve met along the way, thank you for accepting and loving me simply for being me. I’m genuinely thankful to have you guys in my life. ❤️
