Bibles & Breakfast. 🍎📖

This morning we talked about gifts, purpose, and what it really means to live as the body of Christ.

Romans 12.
1 Corinthians 12.

Different gifts.
Different callings.
Different people.

But one Spirit.

We talked about how the Spirit moves like a tree—
one source,
yet different branches,
different fruit,
different expressions of God’s grace flowing through people.

Not everyone is called to do the same thing,
but everyone is called to reflect Jesus.

Some encourage.
Some teach.
Some lead.
Some serve quietly.
Some carry wisdom.
Some bring compassion into rooms that desperately need it.

Different gifts—
same Giver.

And that’s the tension we kept coming back to:

Are we using what God gave us
to glorify Him…

or ourselves?

Because gifts without love
lose their purpose.

Jesus warned that some people would operate in gifts
without ever truly knowing the Giver.

So the goal was never just power.
Never just talent.
Never just influence.

The goal is intimacy with God.

To know Him.
To become like Him.
To carry His Spirit well.

The Old Testament concealed it.
The New Testament revealed it.

Every promise,
every story,
every thread—
pointing back to Jesus.

And just like a body needs every part,
we need each other too.

No comparison.
No competition.
No hierarchy.

Just people learning to use what God placed inside of them
to love others well.

Because when gifts are surrendered to God,
they stop becoming about attention—

and start becoming about transformation.

Yearn for the Giver,
not just the gift,
and everything stays aligned.

Grateful for another Wednesday morning together.

Bibles & Breakfast. 🍎📖

This morning we leaned into what it actually looks like
to live a life led by the Spirit.

Not just knowing about God…
but seeing His presence produced through us.

Galatians 5.

Love.
Joy.
Peace.
Patience.
Kindness.
Goodness.
Faithfulness.
Gentleness.
Self-control.

Not something we force.
Not something we fake.

Something that grows.

Because the Holy Spirit doesn’t just change what we do…

He transforms who we are.

Like a tree producing fruit, what’s on the outside comes from what’s happening on the inside.

And that’s the tension:

Fruit can look good on the outside…

but what matters most
is what’s real on the inside.

Because real transformation
starts where no one else can see.

We also talked about gifts —
how God uniquely equips each of us
to serve others.

Not for attention.
Not for status.

But to build people up.

To love well.
To reflect Jesus.

Because without the Spirit,
the world gets heavier.

But with the Spirit?

Everything changes.

We’re no longer slaves.
We’re free in Christ.

Free to love.
Free to serve.
Free to become who God created us to be.

So the question isn’t:

“Do I look like I have it together?”

The real question is:

“Is the Spirit producing something real in me?”

Grateful for mornings like this.
Grateful for growth that starts within.

First Love First.

Lunch Club looked like pizza, laughter, and a full room—
but underneath it all… God was moving.

There was a time in my life where I thought a relationship would fix everything.
Like it was my oxygen.
Like if I just had the right person—
everything would finally feel right.

But instead… it left me empty.
Not just heartbroken—
but spiritually thirsty.

In John 4, Jesus meets a woman at a well
who kept going back to things that couldn’t fill her.
And He tells her:
“Whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst.”

That hit me.

Because I realized—
my dependence was off.
My focus was off.
My priorities were off.

I was expecting people
to give me something
only God could give me.

And if we’re honest…
we still do that.

We run to relationships, success, distractions—
hoping something temporary will fill a place that’s eternal.

But Jesus doesn’t offer a temporary fix—
He offers fullness.

So what would it look like to go to Him first this week?

Not last.
Not when things fall apart.
But first.

Because when Jesus is your first love— everything else finds its right place.

Another day at Lunch Club— where fun leads to connection, connection leads to truth, and truth leads us back to Him.

Not just moments…
this is what it’s all about.

From smiles—
to skill—
to community…

it’s bigger than the game.

It’s showing up.
It’s pouring in.
It’s being present enough
that something real can be passed on.

Because what we build here
doesn’t stay here.

It carries.
It grows.
It multiplies.

And one day…
they’ll do the same for someone else.

Blessed to be a part of it. 🙏🏽

Not just a game—
a moment.

Not just competition—
community.

Not just a setup—
a space where connection happens.

From the controller in hand
to the screen lighting up the room…
to the laughs, the wins, the “run it back” moments—
something deeper is being built here.

Because it’s never just about who wins—
it’s about who’s in the room.

Every match.
Every moment.
Every memory.

God shows up in the unexpected—
even in places like this.

And maybe that’s the reminder—
you don’t have to leave your world
to experience His presence…

He meets you right in it.

A good night for lacrosse.

Nothing overcomplicated—
just showing up,
being present,
and enjoying the moment.

The kind of night where
the vibes are right,
the conversations are easy,
and you realize…
this is what it’s all about.

More than the game,
more than the scoreboard—
it’s about the people.

Proud of the way our students show up, compete, and represent.
