Sushidan - been wanting to try since they opened their first shop at Raffles City. This is their 2nd shop at Parkway Parade, which just opened. The concept is simple; enjoy sushi as a set course . Sushi rice was subtle , not overly vinegary, just a delicate hint but the rice wasn’t clumpy, every rice grain was separated held together by the sushi chef’s technique. Fish was fresh, with the right amount of wasabi and soy based sushi sauce brushed on. As soon as you order your at, food came one by one. Flavors are delicate and disappears in one bite. I had ordered on of their promotion dish of chopped fatty tuna topped with condiments. Buttery and well balanced flavors when you put it nori sheets. It’s a good starter wait for what is to come. Before the sushi, a cold starter and a warm chawanmushi. A small bowl of cold Udon before the sushi. Sushi set was $19.90. Affordable for this level of Sushi. It did go by fast but like sushi restaurants in Japan, usually around 30mins. It’s a good experience and good taste . Reminds of Japan.

Chasing that old world Hollywood grace - exploring the balance between composure & vulnerability, exposure & poise, classy vs sexy 💃🏻

[ Throwback to this shoot back in 2024 when I was still on manual focus only. Forever grateful to Chris Soo for getting me started in the studio and exploring strobes. I’m still practicing, making lots of beginner’s mistakes, and feeling overwhelmed ever so frequently. But no longer afraid of the complexities nor the outcomes. Nowadays, I just focus on getting into the flow. Sometimes with a clear story, other times the story reveals itself as the shoot evolves. ]

Hygge ☺️🌈

Pronounced “hoo-gah,” it’s one of those Danish words that’s difficult to translate, but easy to feel. It has to do with the quiet joy of slowing down, sharing simple moments, and finding warmth in the company of people who make you feel at home.

Don’t think I could have found a more fitting muse to embody this Viking concept than this lovely young lady from Copenhagen 🇩🇰

Wishing everyone a weekend filled with good company, peaceful moments, and lots of hygge 🫶
