If I were good at math-ing, I could tell you this is the “however long it’s been” Annual Burn that Sh$t event. This is the time of year that we write everything that we don’t want to take into the new year, and set that sh$t on fire.
I can’t say it enough, how lucky I feel to be surrounded and supported by such amazing and powerful women. ❤️ Oh, and @curtmcgirt 😂

I love this double steel gate we installed for an awesome family right down the street in Decatur, Ga.! It has symmetry but not a mirrored reflection…. That would be too easy and boring;) this way we get in more fun elements in a small package and without it being to busy. I really love this sweet little arched gem❤️ I think that Yonah the dog approves too:) #doublesteelgate #steelgatedesign #steeldesign #steelgardendesign #customgates #customsteeldesign #greengate #archedgate #humminbirddesign #ferndesign #turtleart #chipmonkart #ilovemyclients #whenclientsareartiststoo

This year’s Artist Challenge + Fall Festival is a celebration of art and community. Paint Love, like most, had to shutter our doors to large gatherings and shift to the virtual world. So we are so thrilled to be back in person this year! Come spend the day celebrating art and community with us. In addition to cheering on the artists racing to complete works of art in 3 hours, we will have samplings of some of our signature art projects led by some of our incredible teaching artists.

Watch the creation of art, participate in the making of art, and enjoy time with your community, all while raising money to help bring more art to more kids.

👉🏾Activities will require tickets to participate, you can donate ahead of time at www.paintlove.org/challenge (🔗link in bio!) and have your tickets ready and waiting for you to dive in when you get to the event or you can buy tickets on the day. 🎟

1. Tie dye an Art is Essential tee or tote made by @baronpress!
2. Learn to make origami hearts and add them to our collaborative community piece on a base created by @magdalenaoconnor
3. Add your take to our word mandala created by @hannahrosebroom
4. Set aside time each day to practice thankfulness after creating your very own gratitude journal- an all time fav!
5. Be transformed by our face painters extraordinaire @joonieandjake and @magdalenaoconnor
6. Let your inner artist shine inspired by @peterhreynolds ‘ The Dot with a grossed dot mural led by @shelltoebuddha
7. Learn sewing basics and create your own Breathing Buddy to practice deep breaths (great for little ones or for adults who need a reminder to take a deep breath!) led by @chrissyweeks404

I feel like I never get to see these days...and I certainly don’t get to do things for my friends that live far away...getting to be a part of this quilt for @shutterbugmal was amazing. I can’t think of anyone who deserves a beautiful gift more. I hope this quilt is a reminder for you every day of how much you are loved and how many people are in your corner even though we may be miles away. Love you friend! Thanks @karmawillow for including me!! #katelynsews2020

I absolutely love the community that I am part of. When a quilty friend finds out she has cancer and is gearing up for the fight of her life, we all dropped what we were doing to make her a quilt, because that is what we do! Quilts are made for comfort, hugs, tears, screams, rest, warmth and many other things that we can’t all personally be part of. I know that my beautiful and strong friend @shutterbugmal will feel our love and comfort in the days, weeks, months and years ahead! #cancersucks #fuckcancer #quiltyfriendsarethebest #thestashbash

Y’all... I have no words, just overwhelming gratitude. This was made for me by some of my #thestashbash friends as a comfort quilt for chemo, spearheaded by @karmawillow. It was supposed to be a little throw quilt. It’s about 84x84 because so many people wanted to donate blocks and Katie didn’t want anyone to be left out. I just still can’t believe anyone wanted to do this for me. Thank you!!!!

I spent a lot of time thinking about Jamarion. What happened to him is so confounding and heartbreaking. I think of his mother often and how much she must miss him. There were two photos of him that I kept finding so I combined the two photos. I used his smiling face from one and his football jersey from the other. I hope this honors his life, helps tell his story and ampliflies the need for justice in this case. #sew4justice
