It’s so easy to beat yourself up when you know you’re AWKWARD! This podcast is about celebrating all the weird and wonderful folk out there who like us don’t “fit in” to societal norms. LET’s BE MORE AWKWARD! And celebrate our differences ❤️🌈

ONE YEAR AGO TODAY… 💜

We celebrated some truly incredible people, our ten surprise #HelloMyNameIs guest speakers, surrounded by a room full of inspiring guests, amazing organisations and businesses showcasing what they do.

It was an incredible day from beginning to end, filled with stories, laughter, emotion, connection and plenty of moments that have stayed with us.

A year on, we’re still talking about it… and I’m sure we will be for many years to come.

And to top it all off, together we raised a fabulous amount for Leeds Hospitals Charity.

What a day. What a room. What incredible people. 💜

TEN INSPIRATIONAL YORKSHIRE WOMEN. ONE VERY SPECIAL DAY.

We’re already looking ahead to February 2027 and our Yorkshire Ladies Links ‘This Is Me’ Conference at the Pavilions of Harrogate — and this is certainly one of our events that is booking quickly.

Tickets are already being booked and exhibitor spaces are filling, so we wanted to share a little more about what we have planned…

STORIES THAT MAKE A DIFFERENCE
Our morning session, hosted by Christa Ackroyd, will feature:

• Becky Joyce & Shelley Joyce – Founders of Homeless Street Angels, our charity partner for the 2027 conference
• Yvonne Stocks DL – Palm Cove Society
• Deborah Jones – Resolute Women’s Support Services @The Lotus
• Victoria Eames – Kind Hearts Give Back

Five women sharing honest stories about their journeys, experiences and the difference they are making to the lives of others.

CONFIDENCE, IDENTITY & BEING YOURSELF
Christine Talbot will host our afternoon session, beginning with our keynote speaker Rachel Peru.

Rachel will share her own journey, body confidence, self-acceptance and what it means to embrace who you are at every stage of life.

Then, following Rachel’s keynote, Christine will be joined by Rachel, Bernadette Gledhill and Annie Stirk for the Primed For Life ‘Fab Four’ conversation.

A fantastic mix of different experiences, perspectives, honesty and plenty of personality.

EXHIBITOR SPACES ARE BOOKING FAST
We currently have just 14 full-size exhibitor spaces remaining.

With tickets and exhibitor spaces already booking strongly, this is certainly shaping up to be one of our fastest-booking conferences.

If you’re thinking about exhibiting, now is a good time to get involved.

📅 Friday 26th February 2027
📍 Pavilions of Harrogate
🎟️ Complimentary to attend, with tickets required

Come for the speakers. Stay for the connections. Support our charity partner. Be part of the day.

‘This Is Me.’ 💛

We’re absolutely delighted to see Yorkshire Ladies Links featured in the Yorkshire Times

Our upcoming Yorkshire Ladies Links conference is already proving to be something very special, with 300 places filled months ahead of the event.

The feature talks about the conference, the incredible response we’ve had so far and what we’re bringing together for women from across Yorkshire for what promises to be a fantastic day.

We’re so excited for February and everything that’s coming with it.

A huge thank you to the Yorkshire Times for sharing our story.
