🎀

Earlier this year, I was diagnosed with breast cancer.

While this news arrived during an already challenging season, I’m deeply grateful for my faith, my family, my friends, and my team for their unwavering love, support, and resilience.

To my incredible doctors, surgeon, and healthcare professionals - you embody Grit and Grace every single day, and I am endlessly thankful for your expertise and compassion.

Cancer touches all of us, and the journey is made possible through targeted support systems like @cancersociety (special shout-out to @christiegray_ ), along with the many other resources that lift women up when they need it most.

To the many women who have walked a similar path and reached out to support MJ and me - thank you for your bravery, your honesty, and your courage. Your strength has become my quiet playbook and reminder to stay steady, calm, and always moving forward.

Post-surgery, I now look ahead to treatment and what comes next. 🫶🏻

⚽️ WE’RE IN. 🎗️

What started at Queen’s in 2019 has grown into something much bigger.

Queen’s Women’s Soccer first launched Soccer for Cancer in 2019, using the game we love to rally our community in support of cancer research and those impacted by cancer. Since then, the movement has continued to grow, with programs across the OUA and U SPORTS joining the cause and declaring: We’re In.

This season, we’re proud to continue where it all began.

📅 September 13
⚽️ Queen’s vs. TMU
🎗️ Soccer for Cancer
📍Richardson Stadium

Want to support the cause? Donations can be made directly through the Queen’s Women’s and Men’s Soccer fundraising pages. Links to donate to both teams will be available in our bio. Every contribution helps us continue to make an impact beyond the pitch.

One game. One community. One cause bigger than sport.

We started it. We’re still in. And we’re proud to see the movement continue to grow.
