so thankful to be surrounded by the very kind of community I once prayed for. How sweet it is to watch God answer prayers in ways far more beautiful than I could have ever imagined. Leaving this weekend with a heart overflowing with gratitude !!

Foundation Retreat 2026!
Wow God really is Just That GOOD and Just That FAITHFUL!
Going into this week I won’t lie I was nervous, it was my first time leading a group of girls that was older than the age of 12. But wow, did God show up and use me as a vessel, like I had been praying since I was brought onto this team. I had been told that camp is even better as a counselor, and boy were they right. Last year had such an impact on the start of my college journey as a camper. But wow did the Lord reveal himself to me in a new light, filling my cup even more by outpouring into others as a counselor. It gave me an opportunity to build stronger relationships with those I already knew, while also meeting incoming freshmen and transfer students that I get to continue to love on as they begin their college journey. Though we may have not won, I am proud to say I was apart of blue team for the second year in a row🚣🏼‍♀️🚣🏼‍♀️🚣🏼‍♀️ (I bleed blue!) Thank you to my fellow counselors, leads, EXEC and of course directors, (shout out to my sister @kellyfortnerschwab who is the best) for pouring into me, praying for me and encouraging me as I stepped into this unfamiliar position. Thank you Jesus for this opportunity and this place I can call home!

what a summer & what a GOD!! 🔆

it goes without saying that the Lord does amazing things, and i will always be in awe of what he does. to say i’m grateful is an understatement of the countless blessings that have come. through a small step of faith, the Lord lead me to the community i had been praying for. new names and faces have turned into a forever family, and i’m so thankful for the love that Jesus has shown through this prayer answered. <3

Foundation Retreat 2026!!!

Oh how grateful I am for this camp. This was my second year and my first as a counselor! This is where I met my closest friends and now where I got to grow in my faith with them. God called me, equipped me, and gave me the strength and encouragement I needed throughout this week. I got to see first hand how God is moving in Lubbock, and how He is so present and running after college student’s hearts! This community has changed my life! And shoutout to my leads Megan and Christie, and seriously the best small group I could have asked for!
