Coming soon: The Illinois Chi Alpha & Young Adult Retreat

Illinois Chi Alpha has invited all Illinois Young Adults (ages 18-25) to join them for their South Region Fall retreat.

October 2nd-4th at Lake Williamson Christian Center in Carlinville, Illinois.

Young Adults not connected to a Chi Alpha campus are to register as “other”.

We can’t wait to see you there.

Another stop on my Victory Tour! 🎉 This weekend took me to Illinois, and my heart is full.

I had the privilege of teaching at the Illinois Kidmin Equip Conference, and it’s always a joy to be with Chris & Christina Stanley, two of the sharpest NextGen leaders in the AG. We also loved getting to spend time with Troy & Brenda Renter and Katie Maciel!

Then Sunday morning, I had the blessing of preaching at Belmont Assembly of God and being with Pastor Joey Silva and his incredible church family. What a special group of people!

I love preaching and teaching, whether I’m equipping children’s ministry leaders or opening the Word for a Sunday congregation. There’s just something about getting to share God’s Word with His people that fills my bucket.

What a weekend. What a privilege. What a good God we serve! ❤️

Have you ever finished a conversation and then immediately wished you could change what you said?

This past week, I’ve been with the nation-wide AG youth family at National Youth Conference.

I was chit-chatting with a family from PA & they asked what I do.

“I run the social media for Illinois Student Ministries & Alabama Youth Ministries”, I told them.

“Wow”, the mom replied, “How do you do that?”

“I don’t know”, I laughed. “I’m still trying to figure that out.”

After the conversation finished, I immediately wished I could change what I said.

Because I do know how it’s done and it has little to do with me.

I’m able to do what I do three reasons:

1. I’m blessed to be married to a beautiful & passionate woman of God who supports my calling.

2. I’m blessed to serve under the leadership of Illinois & Alabama. Leaders like the Stanley’s & Russell’s who genuinely love me and allow me to serve with my gifts in two regions of the country.

3. I’m blessed by a God who has stewarded these gifts to be used for the Kingdom.

How do I do what I do?

I have a good God & good people in my life.

This is Billy and Katy Willis, the missionaries for Youth Alive Illinois. Billy is 6'6, Katy is 5'10. They're both pretty tall, and they're both pretty good at challenging students to share the gospel with people who don't know it. @youthalive.il

“IDCAG” stands for “Illinois District Council of the Assemblies of God.” They're the ones responsible for me being as passionate about the faith as I am. So you have Team Illinois to either thank... or yell at...

You don't gotta be “all that” to share the gospel with people.

THANK GOD I’M FREE!!! This weekend will be a weekend I will never forget. Thank you to everyone who made it happen. Worship this year was unforgettable. I’m so incredibly grateful for this team’s servant hearts. Leading our youth into the presence of God is not something we take lightly. I love you all!! I’m already looking forward to next year!

ENCOUNTER WEEKEND 2026 ✨💙🙌🏼

Unplugged so hard that I forgot to take any pictures til the last day 🙃

God did so much in and through not only the students but in me too. He realigned my heart, and really slowed me down just to remind me of my purpose, and what impact is really being made. That abiding in Him is the most important thing in every single season.

@christinacooperstanley absolutely knocked it out of the park as our speaker this weekend, thank you for your obedience and sharing your heart with us. I appreciate you & your friendship so much. ❤️

& we have may not won the whole thing, but my girls and I did win the leaders lip sync battle! 💙😂
