#edfringe is people and my heart is approx. 34 sizes larger for falling in love with all of you this year—OW!!! There is an actual medical condition called Cardiomegaly that is simply having an enlarged heart, and thanks to you freaks, I am going to have to call 999 and get myself TREATED. (‘Finally,’ @brianmdudley would crack.)

Fringe is people. It’s artists and co-conspirators with the wildest dreams and wilder audacity to see them into being with awe-inspiring generosity and self-possession. It’s adventurous, crazy sexy audiences with appetites for new and bold work unlike any for whom I’ve yet had the privilege to play. It’s friends and family like muses who fuel me to make them the proudest I can.

Thank you all for sweeping me off my feet, for holding me up and seeing my work so clearly, for good chat and great laughs. For endless inspiration. For the feeling of belonging you can only find with true community.

I am a better idiot comedian, cuckoo artist, sentimental dreamer, hot lover, gay guy, and person because of you and this work we do together at this monster of a festival in this beautiful city we make home for a month.

There are so many of you with whom I do not have pictures… I am going to try and mention some of you here, and I’m sorry I will exceed the character limit rattling off handles of people I fell in love with this Fringe, but follow them if you want some of that: @nathanielhjones @twogreeneggsandsam @emilyolcott @michellecohn721 @linuskarp @danielpreciado @reubenkayeofficial @katymurphyfanaccount @grantklew @buddha_ph @mrprincewilliam @weezasqueeza @chrxstopher.hall @alexis_sakellaris @ardenfitzroy @broccantyzack @temi.wilkey @ewanburns_ @michaelmccomedy @michael_mccredie

My pillars, my archangels, my literal best friend and partner. Thank you for making this work your own. It is so much better for it. Thank you for sharing with me the softer, sillier, and most sensitive moments on this journey. I am so grateful to feel safe in your care.

11 years and I can still convince you to ride shotgun with me. Thank you for believing in me, my work, and my ability to create a thrilling life for us that is full of so much laughter and eve

@frankmurdocco’s sparkling solo play A LITTLE TREAT is now playing at @eastvillagebasement through October 12! Tea: it is more ACCURATELY a big dang delight with a heart that outsizes the 325 sq. ft. Manhattan apartment in which it is set and the insularity of its early-pandemic period. It’s a coming-of-age story that unravels the ties between self-care and selfishness and reconstitute an individual’s queer identity in a New York City as isolating as it is overwhelming.

Sorry to THE MORNING SHOW season 2, but this is maybe the only piece of pandemic-set art that l’ve felt transcends its context, and that has everything to do with the center of gravity created by Frank’s careful writing around which his quietly virtuosic performance unfolds.

It’s a moving, intimate, rare theatre experience rendered by @stephlynmil and the @juntoent team that reminds me the power of solo theatre. GO SEE IT GAYS AND OTHER PEOPLE!!!
