✨ 5 Years Later... Same San Francisco spots — Golden Gate breeze, city fog, and that same feeling we had the day we took our engagement photos.
Crazy how time flies… but standing in the same places reminded us why we started this journey together in the first place. ✨

I’m super grateful to this beautiful woman. A longtime client and friend, Katherine 💗

Was going through videos this afternoon and found this gem. From last year’s Movement As Medicine Retreat.

This flagstone path turns the corner to reveal a mini urban homestead! Complete with fruit trees, veggies, flowers, chickens, bees, and a greywater system. This lush and productive garden is always buzzing with life! 💚

This Gulf Fritillary butterfly is one of many butterflies we see in this Alameda backyard garden! On this day in particular there were Monarch and Swallowtail butterflies as well as Umber Skippers. When you give pollinators nectar, shelter, and a fresh water source, they will flock to your garden! 🦋

Bouteloua 'Blonde Ambition', Oenothera speciosa, Salvias, California Fuchsia (Epilobium canum), Muhlenbergia rigens and more come together in this wild and beautiful ecological garden in Orinda. We love these plant combinations and how they come together to form a naturalistic garden that provides lots of habitat for pollinators. 🦋

The plant details in this Orinda backyard garden showcase the biodiverse tapestry we create when planting a Mariposa garden! Grasses galore as well as nectar and host plants work together to provide all the pollinator garden essentials.

Many of the plants in this garden are native to California as well! 💚

This butterfly habitat garden is looking so good! Grasses are such an important ecological feature for providing shelter and nectar for our native butterflies. This Orinda backyard garden has so many pollinator favorites and so many butterflies already enjoying this new oasis. Host plants, nectar plants, shelter and a seed fountain, this garden has got it all! 🦋

Thank you @greenleegardensandgrasses for Bouteloua ‘Blonde Ambition’ and making this grass more available to grace our gardens.

Songbird haven! These tall shrubs and trees form a shelter and nesting place for many songbirds in this Oakland hills garden. Diverse plantings help to create the basis of a thriving food web, that attract all sorts of pollinators. You don't need pest control when your ecosystem is in balance. 🦋

A few more images of this residential pollinator garden in Oakland, California.

So many California native and adapted species blooming together, including Abutilon megapotamicum (Flowering Maple), Aquilegia formosa (Western Columbine), Mimulus 'Jelly Beans Scarlet' (Sticky Monkeyflower), Verbena lilacina 'De la Mina' (De La Mina Verbena), Pelargonium spp. and more. They are all working together to create a biodiverse and pollinator friendly garden tapestry. 💚
