Heilung have unveiled Læknisgaldr, a new song from Sagas + Ambient, arriving on December 11, 2026. Born from their work on Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II, this release brings together ancient sounds, haunting atmospheres and echoes of another world.

As Heilung prepare to return to the stage in 2027, the journey continues, with new music and more mysteries waiting to unfold.

Until then, let the echoes speak.

MEET THE PRODUCER

Jonas and Christopher have been close friends since they were 18, when they first met at school. Their lives and musical paths have intertwined ever since, through a friendship built on deep mutual respect, shared history and a genuine admiration for each other’s work.

Years ago, Jonas stepped into Christopher’s musical world when he joined Heilung. Now, Chris has stepped into Jonas’ world, bringing his remarkable musical instinct, experience and meticulous attention to detail to Nebala.

As producer of the new album, Chris has become an essential part of bringing Rites of Passage to life. He has a rare ability to hear both the smallest detail and the greater story the music is trying to tell—and Jonas couldn’t imagine a better partner in crime for this journey.

Chris also joined Nebala onstage at Midgardsblot in August for the first-ever performance of the new work: two old friends joining forces once again, this time within the world of Nebala.

We are deeply grateful for everything he brings to this project. And when the stars align, perhaps you’ll see him joining Nebala onstage again 💫

A little trip back to the ritual. 🖤

Throwing it back to Heilung ahead of whatever they’re about to unleash tomorrow.

Something is coming.
And if the last few times are any indication… we’re not ready.

👀 Tomorrow.

Nebala at Midgardsblot 2026.✨

Some concerts stay with you long after the last note fades.

The world premiere of Nebala’s upcoming album "Rites of Passage" became exactly that; a rite of passage. A moment of music, storytelling, movement, tears, release and connection.🥹🌿

And then there is that feeling when you know you have just witnessed something truly special. Something that does not happen often. Something that stays in the body for a while.

The reactions from the audience say more than we ever could. People danced, cried, held each other and stepped fully into the world Nebala created on stage.🍂🧡✨

It was raw. Beautiful. Heavy. Human.

Thank you, Nebala, for bringing something so deeply special to Borre.

Here’s a snippet of Christopher Juul’s talk at @midgardsblot

What role does storytelling play when making art?
How does that relate to Nebalas upcoming album ‘Rites of Passage’?

Finally made it to @midgardsblot! Best week of my life so far. Amazing people, deeply moving gigs, and such a welcoming atmosphere. I love how you can experience black and death metal, dark folk, and pagan-themed techno back to back. Volunteering at the press tent was also a fun way to experience the festival behind the scenes.

It felt like going on a summer camp with friends, even though I barely knew anyone from before. The indoor accommodation for volunteers also suited my comfy needs.

Vėlių Namai might just have performed the best concert I've experienced with their spectacular blend of folk and techno. Synth black metal legends Gehenna also seem to be back on track and delivered a spine-chilling set spanning the first three albums. Other highlights included Nytt Land and Nebala's ritualistic shows, I Am Morbid's death metal assault, and Arthur Brown's charismatically weird rock concert. And too many others to name.

Thanks to everyone I met and the people who made the festival possible! See you next year!
