Ya’ll are sleeping on this gem!! Steve (she’s a lady) is an 8-9
year old 45 lb cattle dog (she’s lost a lot of weight) who is tons of fun with a hint of spice (wouldn’t be a cattle dog without a little dash of spice 🌶️😂) looking for her forever home. She takes daily meds for cushings which is well controlled.

My week as a Wallflower has finished and what a time it was. Thx so much to @instabenp for trusting me to attempt to fill his WILDY talented shoes when he needed a substitute. Thank you to Jakob, the band, & the crew for being so welcoming and being such incredibly talented people. Also great to meet and to hear the Whitmore Sisters every night. Hope the rest of the tour is as much fun as this week was for me!

A Mile South of Heaven, my sixth solo album, is out everywhere today. There is so much I could say about this record, and so much I already have, but today I mostly just want to say thank you to the many people who helped me bring it into the world. ❤️‍🔥

Thank you @shooterjennings for the opportunity to make the album of my dreams, and for the care and vision you put into every song. And many thanks to the incredible team of musicians he assembled, @eleanor_whitmore, @bonnikins, @christopher_k_masterson, @drumsetartist, and @schreffman, whose contributions to making this album what it is cannot be overstated. Thank you @natehaze for engineering, and @stationhousestudio for engineering and also mixing, and to @plyman for mastering.

Thank you @jackieleeyoung for taking all the photos for the album and making the visualizer for Tracking the Tropics, and to @toriraba for styling me and helping us on the shoot. Thank you @roccorivetti and @funkisfunky for creating all of the beautiful music videos for this record.

Thank you @lolakirke @courtneymarieandrews @corneliamurr and @itskatiepearlman for writing Dark Day in Dallas with me, a song I’ve wanted to and tried to write for over a decade, and the magic of Tommy made it finally come together.

Thank you to my love @walker_samuel for being my ride or die, and by my side for the entire conception of this album from start to finish, and for all of your great ideas that I used. The many ways you influenced the world of A Mile South of Heaven are something only we can understand, and I love you.

Thank you to everyone at @newwestrecords for believing in me and making all of this possible. And to @johnmorganyoung @samia_707 @valerante and everyone at C3 for taking a chance on me and doing so much behind the scenes to get this music into the world. And @johnpstrohm for sticking by me through it all and helping me put an incredible team together.

But most of all, thank YOU for listening and for being the reason I get to do this. If there’s one thing we take from A Mile South of Heaven, I hope it’s a small reminder to pull over and enjoy the view. Happy listening, it’s yours now🙏

Just play some old country music, where they find true love or lose it, and come back home to everyone they miss 🌹 Hum of the City is out now, one of my favorites off the new album. Part of this song imagines a conversation with the bartender in a hotel lobby, asking them to change the song. There’s a story there, but it’s too sad and too long…

Good Morning from a girl named Steve!! She’s lost weight, had a dental so her grill is feeling fresh and youthful…all she needs is a forever home!
8 year old Steve is everything we love about cattle dogs! She’s dog social, could live with a cat, and takes daily meds for cushings like a champ.
If you are interested in adopting, please visit our website for an adoption application. She can’t wait to meet you!
