A beautiful evening with the icon and legend @chakakhan to experience her new body of work Chakzilla. I absolutely loved every track. Chaka Khan has always been my absolute favorite recording artist - my entire life.

As a little girl they called me baby Chaka Khan because of my lion mane. I remember being at my grand parent's house with my mom's very cool younger sisters and their friends dancing to her music. And so it began and so it's always been! Thanks Aunt Debbie & Aunt Francesca.

Her music transcends. I have been so blessed to be in her presence over the years. Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee, 11-time Grammy Award winner, and over fifty years of musical excellence. Chaka Khan has always been That Girl! Her energy, her style, her aura! An icon

This evening was beautifully curated by my brother the incomparable Unik @iamunikernest who always has his finger on the zeitgeist. A magical evening with friends ❤️

My neighborhood keeps expanding as I grow into my life as a dad. Grateful for the many neighbors, new and old, who support me along the way.

One of them is @joegonzales.co, who champions dads juggling the day to day, including the style, arts, and culture dads.

Thankful to @brooklynstrollclub, @toddsnyderny, @sperry, and @fredrogersproductions for sending me these kicks for Father’s Day. They’re already broken in and my go to.

Happy Father’s Day to all the dads and papas out there.
