I❤️ NY

I had such an amazing time on my trip to New York with the @americanexchangeproject . I want to truly thank this amazing program for this opportunity to go visit another state in America and see what it’s like in a completely different environment with my fellow graduating seniors.

Thank you to our exchange manager Carl and Alison for being our magnificent tour guides. And thank you to my host family, Susan and Patrick as well as my host siblings Patrick, Eleanor, and especially @margaretharty08 . I had a wonderful time getting to know you all and I cannot wait till we meet again.

And at last thank you to the divine individuals I got to experience this program with. You guys not only made this trip a delightful experience, but also brought me the confidence to initiate more conversations and take the step to get outside my comfort zone.

To @americanexchangeproject, I will forever be endlessly grateful for the opportunity I was given to travel to New York. I can truthfully say this week was one of the best weeks of my life. I discovered a whole new part of myself that I have never seen before and met people who understand me for me. I am beyond blessed with the friendships I made, places I got to see, and overall the amazing experience in itself. Some places will be apart of your heart forever and New York will always be a huge part of mine.

To Keisy, Hunter, Archer, and Richelly, I would have never imagined to meet such great people like ya’ll and connect so well in such a short time. I miss you all more than words can describe and I am so grateful God brought us together. I’ll never be so thankful for something as I am for the laughs and memories we shared. I’m so excited to see ya’ll in Knoxville and the other plans this life has for us!

To all the friends I made and people I met, thank you guys for constantly putting a smile on my face and making somewhere so far from home feel 10x more comfortable than home.

Thank you to everyone who made this experience unforgettable. Thank you for the kindness, the friendships, and for making New York feel like home, even if it was only for a little while, until next time. 🤍🗽

Somewhere between graduation and whatever comes next, I found a little piece of home over 2,000 miles away. I thought I was just going on an exchange trip. Instead, I found friendships that made the world feel a little smaller and my heart a little bigger. Memphis gave me more than memories, it gave me people I'll carry with me forever. Thank you for every laugh, every late-night conversation, every adventure, and every reminder that kindness exists everywhere. My heart is so full, and saying goodbye was a lot harder than I expected, but some goodbyes are really just a see you later. Until we find each other again. 🤍
