In May 2013, after 35 years of steroid free weight training, I built the body and courage to enter a bodybuilding competition. With the nutritional coaching of Jamie Postil, posing assistance of Chris Tse, Steven Soon, and a great spray tan by Bombshell Bronzed, I won 1st place in the Master’s Division at the International Natural Bodybuilding Federation.
My goal became to compete in the World Natural Bodybuilding Federation in November 2013 by competing in the Heavyweight Division. When I came in 2nd place, I quit because I didn’t think I could do better. Now 10 years later, I have set a goal to compete in May 2024 before I turn 60. I have decided to share my story on here to be accountable as well as encourage anyone who has ever felt like me or needs encouragement to get fit. Like and follow to join me on this journey.

Desperately missing all of my in love couples right about now! This is always the slowest couple of months for me before spring & wedding season starts to ramp up again. While I appreciate being able to slow down and make time to breathe I miss being creative and getting behind the lens. If the weather stays nice I have some fun styled sessions that'll hopefully get bumped early to get me out of my slump and back into my groove again. I can't wait to be creating magic with all of my babely couples again!

Also how good is this sunset light we got at Crescent Falls for Jessie and Chris' bridals? That glow makes me swoooooon.

Hey! 🙋‍♀️Look what I found!! Thanks @bollerize @edmontonhasyourhome

A throwback to when I moderated a social media for business panel discussion at @naitmawjicentre

🤗On the panel: @sugaredandspiced @edmontonhasyourhome and @christse_ .... @cwendlandt (who was the 4 th?)

So much fun! Dropping knowledge bombs on #nait students. Whoot!

Should we make a return visit?!?

Maybe I can discuss the rise and benefits of Tiktok!

🙌🏼🎉🥂
Socially,

Kimberly

Will I ever stop posting photos of these two? No, probably not. I absolutely cannot wait for the 2021 wedding season! Some of my couples have opted to follow their hearts (I'm talking following it 300km away) and getting married in some insanely beautiful landscapes with just a select few of their loved ones. How amazing is that?? I still have peak Saturdays open between May - September 2021 for anyone who is wanting to say #fuckcovid and get married this year!

Last and definitely not least location that my sweet couple and I hit on October 31st. After a full day of hitting epic spots along Abraham Lake, we pulled into Crescent Falls for some final photos of the afternoon. We were literally chasing the light at this point. The sun was tucking itself behind the mountains and we were treated to a beautiful soft, glowy light that was quite honestly making me drool. This day will forever be one of my favourites and it brings so many fond memories of time spent with friends. So thankful to have had this experience!

Location #3! Does this place not give you mermaid's lagoon from Peter Pan vibes?? Located somewhere along Abraham Lake is this popular cliff jumping spot that Chris used to hit up in the summer back in the day. It was definitely the coldest location we hit 🥶. I got dropped off on one side (with my jacket and a big blanket to keep me warm) and Chris and Jessie drove to the other end of the little alcove for this set. Watching them walk down the hill to that rock was nerve-wracking af but they maneuvered the sketchy hike like champs.

Okay so I lied. We technically hit 4 locations during this shoot, but that is fine with me, I could post these photos LITERALLY all day any day. We stopped off at a random turnoff near Abraham Lake for this shot. We loved the unobstructed view of the mountains and the wind was playing really fun games with Jessie's dress down here. It was such a pretty little spot!

It's after November 28th which means I can finally post this amazing bridal session!!

After COVID changed Jessie and Chris' wedding plans they decided to travel outside of the city for their bridal photos. I gave an excited "YES A MILLION TIMES YES" when they had asked if I would be willing to go out with them. On October 31st we headed out nice and early and stopped off at Siffleur Falls trail for the first part of our sesion. Being friends with the couple, the session was easy and fun with lots of smiles. We were blessed with a beautiful day (could've gone either way that time of the year) and we explored the area for the better part of the day. I can't wait to show you more from our other 2 locations! Stay tuned. ;)

Well here we go! The very first "official" episode of Rants from the Re-ride Pen will join the BGL empire and go live on Wednesday September 23rd at 7:30pm MT on Instagram @brettgardinerlive.

@s_byrne72 and I are excited to join forces and get together every few weeks and "Rant" to our hearts content about all that is, and has gone on in our world.

Our friendship was built around western sports and that will always be the foundation of this show, but it is also an opportunity to speak as fathers, husbands and friends. It's an opportunity to converse about the agricultural industry, supporting local business, and advocating for mental health, as those are all things that are important to the both of us. It's also an opportunity to open up a platform for you wonderful people to join in on the conversation, ask questions, and offer topics of discussion that you feel are important, impactful or maybe just really funny! And of course we are going to take many of walks down memory lane as we love telling Rodeo stories! We look forward to having you along for the Re-ride!
