Sigh 😮‍💨 My sister and I painted up the walls. Removed my paintings, removed the paints out the closet. And then I came back by myself on the last Friday of August, packed my Lady-Quinn, my sewing machine, stood at the door of my studio space, and shed an art thug tear. • This opportunity was more than just a residency for me. It was confirmation that what I set out to accomplish could be accomplished. It was one of many signs that I’m on the right path, meeting the right people, and that I’m doing the right thing. So anything is possible! Everything is possible… • Everything I did at the Ankhlave Arts Alliance Summer Residency on Governors Island, and everything I ever do is always a labor of love (trust that I can’t think of it any other way) • There’s such a long list of people to thank and some of you don’t know who you are but just know, to all of you, from the depths of my grandmama’s soul, I wanna say Thank you for your guidance. • Now if you’ll excuse me, I’ll be out y’all’s hair as I’m on my way to throw ass on the parkway 🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲 • #summerresidency #artistinresidence #ankhlaveartsalliance #governorsislandsummerevents #ankhlaveartist #artistresidency #painterlife #textileartist #muralist #muralistforhire

Thinking back to last weekend 🤤🥴 Had to say thank you to everyone who came through intentionally and unintentionally and participated or gave kind words! THANK YOU! Truly the beginnings of this mural couldn’t have been done without everyone’s help ✨ Thank you again to @nycthrive for the supplies and @ankhlave for the opportunity to activate the space! Time to finish it up though 💪🏾🎨👩🏾‍🎨 #awesum #awesumcrawford #governorsisland

⭐️For my newer followers who don’t know, I lived in NYC pre-pandemic. I released 2 projects in 2017 and 2018, called The Myths We Teach Ourselves and If You Shoot An Arrow… ⭐️At that time Spotify was not what it is now!! lol I’ve chosen my favorite 14 songs to rerelease from those 2 projects so they can finally be on all streaming platforms not just SoundCloud. Even though they’re old, I perform them all the time. But there’s nowhere to listen to them except my website and I wanna change that!! ⭐️On 7/1/25 I’m releasing an album called SYCE (@sycetheband). Music from a band I used to be in with @americajuice back in my Brooklyn days. We made lots of magic back then and want to release it out into the world to give a fuller picture of who I am as an artist ✨✨✨. More deetz coming on 7/1 the release date :) 💕🙌🏽 Track List: 1.Home 2.Momentum (feat. Keenyn Omari & Emily Wendorff) 3.Street Meat 4.#Sadgirl 5.Allways (feat. Keenyn Omari & Canary Swords) 6.F.U.S 7.Lose Control 8.Seasons 9.Baby Momma Black 10.Fly (feat. Chill Fontaine & Ted Feugo) 11.Pac Man 12.Ascension 13.For Sun Ra 14.That’s Way Love Goes - Sofar Sounds NYC (Live Version)
