Rock bottom gets quiet.

The phone stops ringing. Your confidence takes a hit. You’re lying awake wondering how the hell you’re going to put your life back together.

Men......don’t disappear on yourself.

Make the call you’ve been avoiding. Tell someone you’re struggling. Get on your knees and pray. Then get up and do the WORK!!!!

You don’t have to rebuild everything today, but you’ve got to take a step. Just 1 step at a time.

Remember the people who showed up when you had nothing to offer. The ones who stayed. Prayed with you. Helped you find your footing.

When you get back on your feet, become that man for somebody else.

You know what the bottom feels like. Bring a ladder for the next guy.

We’ve made truth offensive.

Disagreement gets called intolerance.
Accountability gets called abuse.
Boundaries get called unkind.
Directness gets called an attack.

If you don’t agree with someone’s version of reality, suddenly you’re the enemy.

Too many people don’t want truth anymore. They want comfort. They don’t want help. They want validation. They don’t want growth. They want permission to stay exactly where they are and feel good about it.

The dangerous part is what we’re teaching the next generation:

That love means never being challenged.

Real love challenges you. Real love tells you the truth even when it hurts. Real love holds you accountable because it sees what you’re capable of becoming.

Love that never corrects you isn’t love.

It’s permission to stay stuck.

Men, choose truth over comfort. Choose growth over validation. Choose people who care enough about you to tell you what you need to hear, not just what you want to hear.

Iron sharpens iron.

These past few days in Cabo with The Forge and Empire Builders, clarity was a big focus, and one of the biggest takeaways we’re bringing home.

So here are our thoughts:

A distracted man can spend years working hard in the wrong direction.

The calendar stays full. The phone keeps ringing. Everybody needs something. And somewhere along the way, the people you’re working so hard for start getting whatever is left of you.

So much of what we’re building comes back to freedom, peace for our families, and a life with purpose. Those priorities deserve our attention today, too.

Men, we have to get honest.

If faith comes first, where is your time with God?

If family matters, how much of your attention do they actually get?

If you want to lead by example, what are your children watching you practice?

Your calendar, your habits, and your commitments tell a story. Make sure it matches the man you say you want to be.

Take five minutes. Work through the five questions in this graphic. Then act on the answers.

Cut a distraction. Protect time with your family. Have the conversation you’ve been avoiding. Keep the promise you’ve been putting off.

Bring that clarity into how you live when you get home.

Some of you may have noticed I’ve been sitting out a lot of big races lately. I’ve always leaned in to transparency on this page. Truth is, for almost three years I poured in to qualifying for the Boston Marathon 3x before finally getting accepted. To train for that race I did that all over again for 24 weeks. My body and mind left race day tired. I got sick for a few weeks. Worked through it pretending I was fine. Most people honestly probably didn’t notice. Bailed out of a race. Cried to my best friend.

Something had to change. To dig in to the seriousness of whatever was going on I went in my own health and longevity journey. Looked at hormones, blood panels, had my sinuses scoped.

Over the past two months I’ve finally gotten answers.

⚡️ I’ve quietly spent time running slow.

⚡️Practiced breath work - I’m talking breath work to build VO2 max and performance.

⚡️ Strength trained 3x per week - one day has to be strength x conditioning.

⚡️ Biked

⚡️ started wearing a HR monitor for workouts - and working out off HR not prescribed paces.

⚡️ explored my VO2 max and boy do my results defy what standard HR ranges say in running. My HR on easy runs CAN actually be higher than standard ranges say.

⚡️ chosen fun nights out even if I miss a workout.

Truth is, I thought I was in the details before but wow have I taken the steps behind the scenes to truly be in the details while also surrounding myself with the most incredible friends and family.

Frankly, I have some big run goals for 2027. To respect my ability to go out and truly race I am keeping them to myself. But that doesn’t mean I won’t share the journey.

I truly love what I do and what I get to do. Every supposed setback is a learning experience that gives me the space to be a better coach and respect the wins even more.

Yesterday was @mattweiland54 birthday.
For the past few weeks my goal was to get this music video published on his birthday.We got it done. Every song that I’ve been working on has a personal story.
This one is about family and baseball.But it’s also about resilience.In 2007-2008 dad was in the hospital for 78 days. He fought hard and got back up.I learned to never give up from him and mom, a paraplegic.
In July 2008 I was nearly killed in a construction accident that ended my career as a tennis coach in New York.
But rather than give up I realized it was an opportunity to get back up and spend time with family.
Matt was starting to play baseball and after 3 surgeries and 3 1/2 years of rehab all I wanted was to get on a baseball diamond and have a catch with my boy and possibly hit some tennis balls with family and friends.
Matt saw this and in 2017 and 2018 two injuries ended his dreams of playing college ball. But he got back up and 6 years later was able to play the game that is a big part of our family.
His sister @oweiland and him used to hit off a tee in our driveway when they were young.
I loved watching the 2 of them laugh and play.
We moved to Ohio and @sandraspinelli found a house that had a barn. @jmonaghan1 helped us build a batting cage in the barn.
Then we moved to Florida and the journey continued.
Matt played HS ball his last 2 years at Ponte Vedra HS where I’ve been the boys tennis coach since 2019 the year after he graduated.
When I visit Matt and @aaudraa._ we will either hit tennis balls or get in the batting cage.
Audra played HS softball and can hit the baseball pretty darn good.
Sandra has also spent some time in the batting cage over the years.
But our main family activity together sports wise is tennis.
I won’t kayak in a the ocean or harbor lik my brave wife. Batting cage, baseball diamond or tennis court…maybe hoops.
That’s my 3rd place. This video is a love letter to the @reds @redscommunity
and the Big Red Machine.
Also to baseball and family. As I moved away the @yankees became my other team. Thank you to everyone that listens to our song.
It was written with my whole heart.
Dad has been gone 3 years&Mom’s been gone 23 years

Chris Vasami has had three — and he's still managing the fourth.

Former Division I baseball player at Notre Dame and Elon. Colorado Rockies draftee. Founder of Vasami Training — built from the ground up at 20 years old, now more than two decades in. And a three-time thyroid cancer survivor who continues to manage ongoing hypothyroidism while building a business, raising a family, and speaking to audiences across the country about what resilience actually looks like when it's not a one-time story.

What Chris calls "resilient personal greatness" isn't a framework built in a boardroom. It's a conviction forged through three cancer battles and two decades of showing up when it would have been easier to stop. Clarity, ownership, discipline, and leading yourself before you attempt to lead anyone else.
