Just came across this picture of 14yr old me and my Aunt Patrice 💗 back at Gentilly Community Baptist Church in New Orleans. Dad was the pastor 😁.

Learned soooo much about my voice during this time. Our choir/ praise team never had too many members (originally consisting solely of me, my mom and @marcus.arceneaux ), so I’d get a lot of solos by default—for better and for worse 😅. Learned A LOT. lol

Fun fact: My first vocal coach was really my MOM. She has a naturally powerful voice and would give me advice on how to deliver the songs 😊

There is no greater title I hold, no greater joy I’ve ever known than being called Dad.

From the first time I held those tiny hands to the countless late nights of diaper changes and gentle rocking, every moment has been a blessing beyond words. Watching them grow, guiding them through life’s lessons with no experience, sharing laughter, tears, prayers and dreams it’s a love that’s impossible to explain, yet one I feel in every beat of my heart.

Being their protector, teacher, cheerleader and safe place is the most sacred honor I’ll ever know. And those little smiles, those simple “I love yous,” the memories we’ve made together those are treasures I will carry with me for a lifetime.

I am truly blessed to be a father. I thank God every day for the privilege of being “Dad”.

21 years ago, we said “I do” not knowing all that life would bring, its joy and laughter its trials and triumphs. And yet, here we are still standing strong, still loving deeply, still walking hand in hand.

Through every mountain and valley, every quiet moment and stormy season, God has been faithful. He has been our anchor when things felt uncertain, our strength when we felt weak and our joy when life gave us more reasons to smile.

This love, our love isn’t just built on memories. It’s built on grace, forgiveness, growth and a whole lot of prayer. And after 21 years, I can say with full confidence…we are better, wiser, stronger and more connected than ever.
