The last two months have been filled with so much joy as I celebrated the release of my book, This Must Be the Place, with friends from coast to coast.

Forever grateful for my wonderful hosts, dear friends who joined me in conversation, and every single one of you who’s come to an event. IG will only let me tag 20 of you, but I love you all!

And, there’s more to come! This Must Be the Book Tour will be stopping at @galanterjones The Village at Corte Madera pop-up tomorrow night (Wednesday, 6/24) from 5-7 pm before heading to @rusticatorshop in Seal Harbor, Maine on 7/22 to party with @keelerandco.

We are honored to share that our Santa Cruz project, a seaside design collaboration with @chromasf, is featured in the summer issue of @cahomeanddesign.

Situated along the Pacific, the ocean serves as the spiritual anchor of the home, and what first drew the family to this place, and what sets the rhythm for life within. It is a retreat, an inspiration, and a daily connection to the landscape.

We remain grateful for the trust our clients place in us. The care we bring to each residence reflects our dedication to both our clients and to context. Every home becomes a site-specific portrait of place, and of the lives lived within it.

This home, its remarkable site, and these wonderful clients hold a special place for our studio, and it brings us immense joy to see the project celebrated.

Special thanks to California Home + Design, @thelindseyshook for her recognition, and @anh_minh for her thoughtful words.

Thank you to @stephenkentjohnson @michaelreynoldsnyc, who together brought our vision to editorial life, and @theculturecreative for championing this project from the start.

In this woodland retreat, the weathering steel of the Bol corten fire pit finds a natural connection with the surrounding earth, stone, and timber.

What a treat to spend an evening celebrating the inaugural class of @elledecor Rising Stars @cove.ny. A great big congratulations to all 35 honorees - and really, it’s quite a list. Wildly diverse and well worth a deep dive.

Three from our nominations were there to celebrate (@thomasyangstudio @present__practice @chromasf) but it was so special to see and meet many of the other Rising Stars and to feel the promise of emerging practices that are already making waves and meaningful change in the design world. A huge thank you to @elk_elisa @fourhandsfurniture and @cristobalita for bringing us together for this special purpose and the loveliest evening. Here’s to more of this!

Some 45 people walked from The Museum of Craft and Design to Something Else Studio to FutureForms to Letterform Archive finishing up at interior design studio Chroma. Dogpatch is fortunate to have these creative forces who keep our maker culture alive.
