the freak has breached containment. i know because i smelled it.

my friends loose helmet leave today for the optimal human tour. four nights of punk mutation cutting through the southeast with no intention of behaving like optimal humans. personally i do not know what an optimal human is. humans have to open bags with their hands. seems inefficient.

they have been riding high on “freakzone i,” a twitching transmission of wiry guitars, damaged rhythms and art punk agitation released by my record label, do it for chico! records. since then, loose helmet have carried the freak beyond texas state lines, leaving strange little fingerprints on every room willing to let them plug in. touring is not a vacation for these people. it is a delivery system. i cannot go because nobody packed my small bed.

tonight the operation begins in new orleans before crawling east through mobile, savannah and gainesville. four cities. four opportunities to witness loose helmet turn nervous energy into a public disturbance.
