KOCT stopped by @frontwavearena for their Treats in the Suites Trick-Or-Treating event! This is the first year that Frontwave Arena has opened up the event to the entire community, featuring trick-or-treating stations, interactive booths, & other fun activities. Treats in the Suites is an opportunity for the Arena to share what’s coming up while inviting the community to get into the Halloween spirit together!

🌙✨ National City Night Market 🇵🇭

If you haven’t checked out the National City Night Market yet, put this one on your list! 🌴

The Night Market is a monthly community event bringing together local food vendors, artists, DJs, vintage finds, handmade goods, music, and community activities — all with free admission. It launched in July 2026 as a way to bring more people to National City and spotlight the creativity and cultural diversity of the community.

And the location makes it even more special: Old Schoolhouse Square, at 600 E. 8th Street, is a longtime neighborhood shopping center with a strong Asian and Filipino presence. The Night Market builds on the plaza’s existing tradition of community markets and Villa Manila’s flea markets, turning the space into an evening gathering spot.

From the food 🍢🍜 and merch 🛍️ to the musical performance by Tyron 🎶, there was plenty to explore.

🌙 Monthly Night Market
🎟️ Free admission

I love seeing events like this bring kababayan together and give local businesses, artists, and vendors a place to shine. Businesses are tagged! DM me if I missed yours! ❤️

Save this for the next one! 👀

Chubby’s Cones @chubbyscones neeeeedss to be part of your Snapdragon Stadium game day plans. If you’re heading to a San Diego Wave match, the truck is right by the entrance — go before halftime, trust me on this one. Family owned, known as the best soft serve in San Diego, and the churro cup alone is worth the trip. Save this for your next game day 💫.

🏀 Another unforgettable day at the @understandthegrindfoundation Youth Basketball Camp! 💪

This was my son @xmanikbrososa22 second year attending, and once again he had an incredible time alongside friends. Watching his confidence grow, his skills improve, and his love for the game continue to shine is what it’s all about. ❤️

A huge thank you to @normanpowell4 for hosting this FREE camp for San Diego youth and for continuing to give back to your hometown and inspiring the next generation on and off the court. ❤️🏀

One of the most special moments of the day was seeing the beautiful mural of Norman that his family surprised him with. Huge shoutout to @groundfloormurals for creating such an incredible piece

Special thanks for the awesome goodie backpack, snacks, drinks, the opportunity to meet you, the signed poster, and even @padres tickets—you truly made these kids feel special! 🙌

And a big thank you to @chubbyscones for treating everyone to FREE ice cream and delicious root beer floats! 🍦🥤 The perfect way to cool off after a fun day of basketball.

📣If you get the chance next year, don’t miss it—be sure to register early because spots fill up fast! 🏀🔥
