We had such a special Founder’s Day celebrating 156 years of Kappa! It was so sweet having our alumnae at the house, hearing their favorite Kappa memories, and seeing so many generations of our sisterhood all together.

Thank you Chuck @chuckiacobelli_ for inviting me and all the other alumni’s tonight for Kappa Kappa Gamma’s Founders Day. 💙🔑 You did an incredible job orchestrating this event. Such a wonderful time surrounded by sisters of multi generations from near and far, enjoying great conversations, memories, and having an amazing meal together. Founder’s Day celebrates the founding of Kappa Kappa Gamma which was on October 13, 1870, at Monmouth College in Monmouth, Illinois, by six women: Anna Elizabeth Willits, Martha Louisa Stevenson, Mary Moore Stewart, Susan Burley Walker, Hannah Jeannette Boyd, and Mary Louise Bennett. Thank you sisters for starting this all 🙏

Chapters and alumnae groups often celebrate with a special ceremony, dinner, sisterhood gathering, and reflection on Kappa’s history and values. And we did just that tonight and I’m grateful! Sisterhood is so special and I’m glad to have so many in my life. 😘 Mdog

This past weekend, our Chapter President and Ritual and History Director attended Kappa Kappa Gamma’s 76th Biennial Convention in Orlando, Florida! Let’s hear a bit about the weekend from Sammy and Chuck🩵💙

“It was so special getting to spend time with the Pi District, connect with Kappa alumnae, and learn more about the history and traditions that make Kappa what it is. I also felt so lucky to experience it all alongside our Ritual & History Director, Chuck, who made it even more fun and meaningful. It was so inspiring to meet Kappas from chapters all across the country and hear how this sisterhood has shaped their lives in so many different ways.
